At the seminar, delegates exchanged and discussed many contents related to the role of pedagogical colleges in providing human resources for teachers for the preschool and general education systems in localities; maintaining the pedagogical training model in the context of merging with multidisciplinary universities; solutions to improve training quality; applying technology, expanding international cooperation; enhancing financial autonomy and attracting investment to develop facilities...
At the same time, representatives of colleges and educational administrators nationwide shared practical experiences and proposed many solutions to adapt to the context of re-planning the education system according to Decision 452/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
In particular, schools need to proactively choose appropriate conversion options such as: merging with a pedagogical university; becoming a branch of a multidisciplinary university in the region or maintaining an independent model if conditions permit... In that process, it is necessary to consider retaining a number of pedagogical colleges that play a leading role in education and training activities in localities, especially in disadvantaged areas, to ensure teacher resources and diversity in training models.

The seminar with the theme "The direction of pedagogical colleges in the current period" took place in the context that the education sector is strongly implementing Resolution 29-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee and Conclusion 91-KL/TW of the Politburo, towards fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training; Decision 452/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on the planning of the network of higher education and pedagogical institutions for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, sets high requirements for the rearrangement of the system of pedagogical colleges.
Therefore, this is an opportunity for schools to share their current situation, learn from experiences and propose transformation models suitable for the new context.
Here, many good initiatives and models were introduced, opening up important suggestions for building sustainable development strategies for pedagogical colleges in the coming time.
