In a warm and friendly atmosphere, Ambassador Nguyen Tat Thanh sent his best wishes for health and success to Lao Ambassador Sinchai Manivanh and his wife, along with all staff of the Lao Embassy in Australia and their families on the occasion of the New Year.
The Ambassador highlighted the significance of the special friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, and emphasized the close ties between the two embassies to help strengthen exchanges and connections between diplomatic staff of the two countries, contributing to promoting the warm brotherly relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
On this occasion, the Ambassador shared the results of the first foreign visit to Laos in the new position of President Vo Van Thuong from April 10-11, creating new momentum for Vietnam-Laos cooperation in the coming years.
The Ambassador hopes that the two countries and the two Embassies will promote the achievements they have made, continue to maintain exchange and communication activities in 2023, strengthen coordination, and support each other for mutual development.

In response, Lao Ambassador Sinchai Manivanh expressed his excitement at the presence of many Vietnamese Embassy officials, thanked Ambassador Nguyen Tat Thanh for his good wishes, and was moved by the great achievements of the special Laos-Vietnam relationship. Ambassador Sinchai also expressed his belief that the relationship between the two countries will become increasingly strong and developed after the visit of President Vo Van Thuong.

The two Ambassadors agreed to closely coordinate in the activities of the ASEAN Committee in Canberra as well as other relevant mechanisms, especially enhancing exchanges and sharing between diplomatic staff of the two sides to preserve the special, loyal and pure relationship between the two countries as well as between the two Embassies.
