Da Nang spends more than 280 billion VND to renovate 4 central city roads

On March 25, the People's Committee of Da Nang City held a ceremony to launch the project to renovate the drainage system and install underground information cables and lighting on four inner-city roads: Phan Chau Trinh, Le Loi, Hoang Dieu and Ong Ich Khiem (in Hai Chau and Thanh Khe districts).

The project aims to enhance urban aesthetics, ensure drainage capacity, meet the needs of tourism and economic development, as well as improve the quality of traffic infrastructure in the central area of ​​Da Nang.

Da Nang City leaders performed the button-pressing ceremony to launch the project to renovate 4 roads in the city center.

The project scope includes upgrading the drainage system, burying power lines, communication cables and lighting, replacing and planting more trees, relocating the water supply system, installing additional fire hydrants, curbing and resurfacing sidewalks with natural granite, as well as upgrading reinforced asphalt concrete on these four routes with a total length of 6.94 km.

The project has a total investment of more than 280 billion VND, invested by the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects of Da Nang City. The implementation progress is from 2024 to 2026.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, said that this project is one of the events to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City. This is a premise for the city to continue to renovate the infrastructure of the remaining inner-city roads in the coming time, in order to create a spacious appearance for the entire city center, better serve the development of tourism, the living needs of the people, towards a green, clean and beautiful city.

Phan Chau Trinh Street is one of four roads with improved drainage systems and underground communication and lighting cables.

“This project is located in the urban center, with high traffic density, so the investor must learn from practical experience from implemented projects to manage and execute the project on schedule, safely, with quality, and to minimize impacts on traffic and people's lives,” said Mr. Chinh.

The Chairman of Da Nang City also requested the Department of Construction to send traffic inspectors to coordinate and support traffic regulation during rush hours to minimize traffic congestion...

Previously, Da Nang has cooperated with electricity and telecommunications enterprises to successfully invest in underground information cable and lighting projects on Le Duan, Hung Vuong and Ly Thai To streets; creating a spacious and modern street appearance in the city center.

The Go Quang-Hoa Phuoc-Hoa Khuong route, built by the State and the people, aims to achieve the criteria of a type IV urban area in Hoa Vang.

On the same day, also to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025), the Hoa Vang district government held the inauguration ceremony of the Road Project from Go Quang to Hoa Phuoc - Hoa Khuong Road. This is a project implemented under the motto of the State and the People working together on the basis of consensus from the Party's will and the people's heart.
