At the press conference on the Vietnam International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi 2025 on March 25, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, Mr. Vu The Binh, said that this year the discount factor is no longer the highlight like previous fairs. When the COVID-19 pandemic ended, tourism around the world has changed. The approach and travel preferences of visitors are now different. Price is no longer the deciding factor, but safety, health and experience are the new focus. Stimulus products need to be innovated in the direction of improving quality and added value, such as not reducing prices but giving away meals and gifts to visitors. Along with green tourism, developing high-quality products is the direction to elevate Vietnam's tourism, attracting high-paying visitors, instead of being labeled a cheap destination.
Vietnam tourism can increase its value very quickly if we have more green services. Therefore, Mr. Vu The Binh believes that the tourism industry and businesses, tourist destinations need to make a green transition as quickly as possible so that Vietnam can soon have a green label, thereby proving that Vietnam's service quality is on par with the world.
