Mr. Pence's campaign has filed its candidacy paperwork with the Federal Election Commission.

Sources familiar with the matter said that on June 7, former Vice President Pence will launch his campaign with a video and a speech in Iowa, where early elections will take place.

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is scheduled to enter the race on June 6, while North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is also planning to announce his candidacy on June 7, bringing the total number of Republican candidates in the 2024 US presidential election to more than 10.

In addition to the above names, there are also some prominent faces such as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis; Senator Tim Scott; and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley...

Public opinion believes that having many candidates will further divide the Republican Party and create conditions for former President Trump to win the Republican nomination.
