Businesses are recruiting workers to serve production and business during the peak of Tet. Notably, some businesses are willing to pay a salary of 20 million VND/month to recruit people.
The Hanoi Employment Service Center said that the labor market continued to recover in November as businesses focused on recruiting to meet year-end production and business needs. The city has about 40,179 vacancies.
Enterprises mainly recruit workers with university degrees or higher, accounting for 43.53% of total recruitment needs, followed by unskilled workers and technical workers without degrees or vocational certificates.
Regarding salary, businesses mainly pay employees 5-10 million VND, followed by 10-20 million VND (accounting for 15.55%).
Businesses, especially those in the fields of wholesale and retail, industry - construction, and real estate, are in high demand for recruitment to boost production and business activities to serve the peak holiday season in late 2024 and early 2025.
Besides, Hanoi real estate market is now more vibrant than ever with positive signals from projects.
Due to the need to expand staff to serve the shopping and festival season, many businesses also need to recruit part-time positions. These are the groups of industries that workers can apply to find jobs quickly. Currently, workers are looking for jobs at about 22,065 people.
Based on a survey and information collection of 9,095 job seekers' profiles, the desired salary of workers is mainly from 5 - 10 million VND, accounting for 65.15%, 10 - 20 million VND, accounting for 26.87%.
Workers looking for jobs are mainly concentrated in the age group of 35 and over, accounting for 47.45%, while in the age group of 15-24 years old, accounting for 7.82%.
The technical expertise of job seekers is concentrated mainly in the untrained group with jobs such as production workers and sales staff.
More positive job market
The Hanoi Employment Service Center assessed that growth expectations are gradually shifting from modest to more positive scenarios. International organizations also highly appreciated the strong growth of the Vietnamese economy.
The rapid economic recovery based on three main pillars: export - consumption - investment creates great momentum for the recovery of the Vietnamese labor market in general and Hanoi in particular.
The center forecasts that some industries with high recruitment demand include: Wholesale and retail up 4.5% compared to the previous month; processing and manufacturing industry; finance, banking and insurance activities.
However, there are some industries that have reduced recruitment needs such as scientific and technological professional activities, finance, banking, insurance, administrative activities and support services...
In November, the recruitment demand in Hanoi city is about 40,179 positions. This number may increase when the demand for labor recruitment to serve the peak Tet production is at its "hottest" time.
