At the opening ceremony, teachers and students of Nguyen Gia Thieu High School reviewed film footage, documentary images and advice from the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on comprehensive reform of education.The most recent visit was to the school on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Nguyen Gia Thieu School (1950 - 2020). The sincere feelings for the teachers, the feelings for old classmates, the heartfelt advice for teachers and students of the school, the thoughtfulness and depth of a great personality are still cherished and preserved by generations of teachers and students of the school. In the atmosphere of the opening day of the new school year 2024 - 2025, teacher Le Trung Kien, Party Cell Secretary, Principal of the school called on nearly 2,200 students of the 75th class and teachers of the school to strive to teach well - study well - practice well following the example of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Looking back at the 2023-2024 school year, Mr. Le Trung Kien said that although there were many difficulties in the innovation process, teachers had to ensure the implementation of the 2006 education program while implementing the innovation according to the 2018 education program, but with the spirit of overcoming difficulties, the collective of cadres, teachers, staff and students of the school have strived to complete the school year's tasks well.
The whole school has 1,944 excellent students (93.75%). In addition, many students achieved high results in competitions such as student Nguyen Minh Trang, class 11D5, won third prize in national excellent students, 39 prizes in city-level excellent students, ranked second in the non-specialized high school block in the whole city.
In the 2024 high school graduation exam alone, the school's students achieved high results and are one of the top quality schools in the city. Specifically, 100% of students passed the graduation exam, 6/9 subjects ranked in the top 15 of the city, many subjects ranked high, such as: Math ranked 7th, Geography ranked 8th, Foreign Language ranked 15th... and 690 students scored 26 points or higher in 3 university entrance exams. Notably, in the recent university entrance exam, student Nguyen Ha Nhi, class 12D1, achieved the highest score nationwide with a total score of 57.85, including 3 scores of 10. In addition, 683/691 students of the school were admitted to universities, of which 123 students were admitted to the National Economics University; 98 students were admitted to the University of Science and Technology; 30 students were admitted to the University of Commerce; 24 students were admitted to the Banking Academy; Foreign Trade University 22 students...
The new school year 2024 - 2025 is the first school year to implement the 2018 education program, this will be the school year that opens a new historical period. The new education program will have many difficulties and obstacles.
