At noon on March 11, concluding the activities within the framework of the visit to Indonesia, General Secretary To Lam and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Jakarta.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto went to Halim Perdanakusuma military airport to see off the Vietnamese leader.

The plane took off at 12:00, bringing the General Secretary and his wife to Singapore at the invitation of Singapore's Prime Minister and Secretary-General of the Singapore People's Action Party (PAP) Lawrence Wong.

Before leaving Indonesia, General Secretary To Lam had meetings with Chairman of the Indonesian People's Representative Council (Lower House) Puan Maharani and Chairman of the Indonesian Local Representative Council (Upper House) Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin.

According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meetings, the Indonesian side highly appreciated the significance of General Secretary To Lam's visit, emphasizing that the country always attaches importance to maintaining and promoting multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam.

Senate President Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin and House Speaker Puan Maharani affirmed that as legislative bodies, the two houses of Indonesia support the government to further strengthen relations with Vietnam.

The Indonesian side also expressed its willingness to share experience in monitoring government activities and promote cooperation between localities of the two countries.

Regarding trade, they agreed to promote economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, striving to achieve the target of two-way trade turnover of 18 billion USD by 2028.

At the two meetings, General Secretary To Lam thanked Indonesia for its warm welcome to him and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation. He agreed with the assessment of his counterpart that Vietnam and Indonesia are two countries with important roles in ASEAN, are reliable partners and share many interests and similarities.

Further deepening the new framework of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership not only meets the interests of the people of the two countries, but also contributes to building a united, united, strong ASEAN and actively contributes to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

The General Secretary and Indonesian legislative leaders also agreed that the two sides will continue to increase information exchange and close coordination, supporting each other at international and regional forums on the National Assembly channel.

In addition, the two sides also agreed to promote cooperation between central and local state power agencies and between friendship parliamentary groups of the two countries.

Thereby strengthening political trust, promoting substantive cooperation, creating a new step of development in Vietnam - Indonesia relations.

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam conveyed the invitation to visit Vietnam from National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani and President of the Senate Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin. The two Indonesian legislative leaders happily accepted the invitation.

Also on the morning of March 11 in Jakarta, General Secretary To Lam met with Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani.

At the meeting, the two sides affirmed that the relationship between the two legislative bodies is an important element in the overall relationship between the two countries.

Therefore, the two sides hope that the legislative bodies of the two sides will continue to make positive contributions to the development of the relationship, through the development and promulgation of legal documents, creating appropriate and favorable mechanisms and policies to implement cooperation in all fields, especially economics, trade and investment between the two countries.

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam conveyed the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, inviting MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani to arrange an early visit to Vietnam. Mr. Ahmad Muzani sincerely thanked and happily accepted the invitation.
