Sharing joy with the people of Ward 3 (Phuoc Nguyen Ward, Ba Ria City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province) on the occasion of the National Great Unity Day 2024, on the afternoon of November 14, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha hoped that people would work together to build and develop their homeland to become more and more beautiful and civilized, a place that anyone who goes far away will remember, and anyone who has been there once will want to return.
Vitality through 'talking' numbers
The Deputy Prime Minister said that on the way to Ward 3, he was really happy to witness the rapid changes of Ba Ria City, which is becoming more and more civilized and modern, with synchronous infrastructure, clean environment and landscape. The faces shining with joy and happiness of the people of Ward 3 are a measure of the increasingly improved material and spiritual life of the people.
To date, Ward 3 has no more poor households; 93% of residents have participated in voluntary health insurance; 99.7% of households have met the cultural family standards. All 12 residential groups and the Executive Committee of Dung Lac Parish, the Executive Committee of Tinh Quang Pagoda signed a commitment to implement the model of "self-managed residential groups, protecting the environment, responding to climate change"; 100% of households registered to dispose of garbage in the right place, participate in cleaning and beautifying the landscape.
People in the neighborhood are always united, obey the law, ensure social order and safety, actively participate in supervision, and contribute to building a clean and strong political system.
In the neighborhood, 675/675 households are recognized as "learning families" contributing to the ward's efforts to build a "learning society".
What is even more valuable is the spirit of solidarity among Catholics and non-Catholics; actively helping each other to sustainably reduce poverty, improve living standards, and encourage legitimate enrichment. This is the greatest goal of the Party and the State, and also the wish of President Ho Chi Minh during his lifetime when he called for "Catholics and non-Catholics to unite closely and help each other" and emphasized "Unity, unity, great unity, success, success, great success".
The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the contributions of outstanding collectives and individuals in the emulation movement honored at the National Great Unity Day in Ward 3. Many people are old but still exemplary, responsible and actively contribute to society and their homeland, becoming shining examples for their children and the community.
The Deputy Prime Minister also acknowledged and commended the comprehensive results achieved by the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and people of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in the first 10 months of 2024 with GRDP growth reaching 11.47%, the highest in the past 10 years and ranking 4th in the country.
Through campaigns and great solidarity movements, the strength of the entire people has been mobilized in building new rural areas; contributing over 203 billion VND, donating 860,000 m2 of land, contributing over 11,000 working days to build infrastructure; building 827 new houses, repairing 587 great solidarity houses.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has no more poor or near-poor households according to national standards; 98.3% of residential areas meet cultural standards; 93% of families meet cultural standards.
"Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has basically completed the construction of new rural areas, supported housing for people with meritorious services, actively eliminated 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households, ethnic minorities in remote areas, areas affected by natural disasters and floods, and together with other localities completed these goals," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Unite to enter a new era
Recalling the spirit of solidarity, the source of unparalleled strength for the nation to overcome seemingly impossible difficulties in the process of building and defending the Fatherland, the Deputy Prime Minister stated: We are entering a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise. It is the era of development, a rich people, a strong country, a democratic, fair, civilized society, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers. All people have the right to enjoy a prosperous, happy life, and to be supported to develop and get rich.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the process of drafting political reports, socio-economic development, and Party building work to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress contained many innovative and breakthrough development ideas to affirm the connotation of a new era - an era of rising up of the Vietnamese nation with many important tasks and goals.
First of all, in 2025, the organizational model of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, Fatherland Front, and political organizations from the central to local levels will be innovated, perfected, and synchronized in personnel work, "streamlined, compact, and efficient", reducing regular expenditures and increasing investment for development.
In addition, the work of institutional building not only corrects and overcomes the shortcomings, shortcomings and weaknesses of the current legal system, but also innovates the thinking of building legal policies, abandons the mindset of "not knowing is forbidden" and creates a creative development space for people, businesses, management agencies and related parties.
The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized that, along with continuing to promote the fight against corruption, "taking prevention as the main focus", practicing thrift and fighting waste is also extremely important.
"The tasks set for the new era, such as perfecting legal policies and reforming the organizational apparatus, need to be carried out today, not waiting until after the 14th National Party Congress," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
In addition, we need to pay great attention to building a strong grassroots political system, starting with daily life issues, such as environmental protection, waste classification, "clean houses, clean streets", ensuring traffic safety; preventing domestic violence, school violence; maintaining security and order...
Turn challenges into new development drivers
Ba Ria-Vung Tau province is identified as one of the national marine economic centers, an international-class tourism center and one of the clean energy and green industry centers with high added value.
The next step for the province is to build policies and mechanisms, specific projects; identify goals and tasks to include in the resolution of the Provincial Party Committee. People need to pay attention to the education and learning activities of their children to form high-quality human resources for the locality.
"We must put people at the center, as resources, along with renewable energy sources, through digital economy, artificial intelligence, smart applications... to form unlimited development resources to turn challenges into new development drivers," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
Create powerful changes from practical daily actions
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in the near future, people will enjoy high-quality social services; a multi-layered social security system; live in a clean and safe environment; and good cultural identities will be preserved and promoted.
This is the goal and task set out so that in the development process, economy, society and environment are the center, while culture and education play the role of material and spiritual foundation.
To achieve that, the decisive factor is the dynamic and innovative spirit of the Party Committee and authorities at all levels and the role of the people and enterprises as the center, subject and driving force.
Practical actions in building civilized communities, in solving common social problems that each family, each clan, each parish, each neighborhood like neighborhood 3 is doing today, will create strong changes.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested Party committees, authorities, and Fatherland Fronts at all levels of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province to continue promoting the effectiveness of patriotic emulation campaigns and movements, contributing to welcoming the 14th National Party Congress.
People continue to take many practical actions to care for their material and spiritual lives; share, support, and help those facing difficulties in life, leaving no one behind.
Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to encourage and motivate all classes of people and each family to strive, enthusiastically work in production, innovate, create, apply scientific and technological advances, and strive to enrich themselves legitimately; promptly encourage and reward advanced models, outstanding collectives and individuals, creating momentum and competitive spirit among all people.
