Many economies that are major trading partners of Vietnam have slowed down their growth. In that situation, under the close direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, leaders of ministries, branches and localities, together with the support of the business community and people to well implement the goals set out in Resolution XIII on socio-economic development. Therefore, Vietnam's economic growth in the first 6 months of the year still reached 3.72%, in which the main driving force contributing to economic growth was the service sector; the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector grew steadily, demonstrating its role as a pillar of the economy”. Therefore, there is no such thing as Vietnam's economy being "tragic", "unable to cope"... as what hostile forces and political opportunists have spread.
On July 21, at the meeting of the Politburo and the Secretariat giving opinions on the Report on the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year, tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2023 chaired by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, the Politburo and the Secretariat discussed and agreed, basically agreeing with the comments and assessments of the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year according to the report of the Government Party Personnel Committee.

In particular, the achievements and path of developing a socialist-oriented market economy in our country are always the subject of attacks and sabotage by bad subjects on the ideological front.
At the symposium on the World and Regional Situation and the Role of External Information and People's Foreign Affairs jointly organized by the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations in June 2023, Dr. Phan Anh Son, Vice President, General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, President of the Vietnam Institute for International Studies and People's Foreign Affairs, Vice Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations, emphasized that the development model, as well as the approach to the development models of each country are different and cannot be imposed. Therefore, the story of introducing the values of a country and letting other countries selectively absorb them, putting them into each country's own conditions, is appropriate. Currently, after 45 years of innovation and development, China is a successful model of the socialist regime.
Thus, it can be seen that the hostile forces' self-proclaimed slogan "Vietnam must abandon the socialist-oriented market economy model" is an arrogant and unreasonable act, going against the development trend as well as the aspirations of the Vietnamese people. The fact that our Party and State have chosen to develop the country according to the socialist-oriented market economy model is both scientific and practical, and is truly an important turning point, of historical significance, bringing our country's economy to impressive achievements recognized by the international community.
Focus on the fight against bad, toxic, false information that sabotages the Party and State. At the Politburo meeting, the Secretariat gave opinions on the Report on the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year, tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2023.
