(DN) - On the morning of August 1, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held the 12th Executive Committee Conference of the 10th term, 2018-2023. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Quan Minh Cuong and representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's committees, departments, branches and sectors attended.

According to the Provincial Federation of Labor, in the first 6 months of 2023, over 22,000 union members in the province had their working hours reduced and their labor contracts terminated. The reason was due to the impact of the world economic situation, causing a number of businesses to lack orders, leading to difficulties in production and business activities.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has directed Trade Unions at all levels to promote activities to care for jobs and the lives of union members and workers. Regarding the progress of Trade Union congresses, up to now, 100% of grassroots Trade Unions have completed their congresses for the 2023-2028 term...
Acknowledging the achievements of the Trade Unions at all levels, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Quan Minh Cuong highly appreciated the efforts and endeavors of the Trade Unions at all levels in the first 6 months of the year. In particular, the work of caring for and protecting the rights of workers as well as launching patriotic emulation movements stood out.
In addition to the above results, Comrade Quan Minh Cuong said that the Trade Unions at all levels need to pay attention to taking care of union members and employees in the administrative sector. Regarding the work of developing union members and introducing outstanding union members for the Party to admit, the Trade Unions at all levels need to make more efforts to ensure the quantity and quality set forth.

Comrade Quan Minh Cuong emphasized that from now until the end of 2023, it is forecasted that the living conditions and employment of workers will continue to be affected. Therefore, trade unions at all levels must consider creating new jobs, improving workers' skills and stabilizing labor relations; at the same time, promoting activities to care for workers with new models and more effective methods.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Federation of Labor to focus on personnel work for the 11th Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028. It is necessary to select qualified personnel who are virtuous, talented and dedicated to Trade Union activities. Regarding action programs, it is necessary to innovate and create practical solutions for workers' lives.
At the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor collected opinions on introducing personnel for the 11th Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term.
