At the beginning of the conference, delegates listened to Dr. Doan Van Bau - Director of the Department of Political Theory, briefly report on the results of political theory education at the grassroots level in 2022 and the directions and tasks for the last months of 2023.
For more than 1 year (from the conference and training session held in April 2022 to present), under the timely leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels, political theory education has implemented many solutions to improve the quality of training and fostering political theory for cadres and party members at the grassroots level. Political theory education has contributed to creating unity within the Party, consensus in society; creating trust and excitement for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life.

In 2022, political centers nationwide opened 2,558 Party awareness training classes with 165,859 students; 8,017 political theory training classes for 102,065 new Party members; 4,110 elementary political theory classes with 50,418 students; 4,561 specialized classes with 254,222 students; 17,541 professional training classes with 256,185 students; 27,649 training classes for cadres of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations with 389,650 students; 32,393 updated training classes for cadres and Party members at the grassroots level with 244,067 students.
The work of improving the quality of the teaching staff; investing in facilities and techniques to serve the work of political theory education; inspecting and supervising political theory training and fostering continues to be of interest to localities, agencies and units.
At the conference, delegates also listened to 9 presentations from local Propaganda Departments on grassroots political theory education in 2023.
In the last 6 months of the year, the Central Propaganda Department determined to continue improving the quality of political theory training and fostering for cadres and party members at the grassroots level; improving the quality of political theory lecturers at the district level; strengthening inspection and supervision of political theory training and fostering content; perfecting and improving the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the political theory and party history department, district-level political center...
Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Hai Binh - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department requested that the Propaganda Departments of provincial Party Committees, city Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Central Committee continue to innovate the content, form, and teaching methods of political theory programs, research and supplement new solutions, develop concise content, and have rich and attractive communication forms on the internet and social networks suitable to the new situation; coordinate with relevant agencies and units to direct and guide district-level political centers to effectively implement annual training and development programs and plans.

The conference on political theory education at the grassroots level in 2023 will take place over 1.5 days. This afternoon, the conference will focus on clarifying the results of political theory education at the grassroots level in 2022 and the directions and tasks for the last months of 2023. On the morning of August 10, the conference conducted training on two topics. Topic 1: Some theoretical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam; Topic 2: Overview of the political system in Vietnam. In the afternoon of the same day, the conference continued to disseminate political theory and professional training documents for cadres of the Fatherland Front, veterans' association, and farmers' association at the grassroots level; and trained in the Party history training program - "Our Party is truly great". |
