In February, Viettel recorded the fastest 5G access quality, with an average download speed of more than 200 Mbps.

According to data from the i-Speed ​​speed measurement system of the Vietnam Internet Center (Ministry of Science & Technology), the average download speed of 5G mobile networks in Vietnam in February reached 187.58 Mbps, a slight increase compared to January (167.01 Mbps).

The average 5G network upload speed in February reached 34.87 Mbps, information related to latency (ping and jitter) was 33.5 ms and 5.3 ms, respectively.

Currently, the system records 5G connection data of two major carriers: VNPT and Viettel. In February, Viettel recorded a higher average download speed (226.27 Mbps), while VNPT was 157.17 Mbps. Regarding upload speed, Viettel reached 29.83 Mbps, VNPT was 45.5 Mbps.

By locality, Dong Thap province recorded the highest average 5G download speed (333.52 Mbps), followed by Da Nang (324.05 Mbps) and Thai Nguyen province (259.5 Mbps).

According to i-Speed, local data is only recorded if there are at least 300 samples/month. In Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, the average 5G download speed is 158.18 and 144.78 Mbps, respectively.

In addition to 5G, i-Speed ​​also recorded fixed and mobile broadband connection speeds. According to February updated data, the average fixed broadband download/upload speeds nationwide were 99.81 and 95.3 Mbps, respectively, down slightly compared to January (144.66 and 111.76 Mbps, respectively).

In February, Viettel became the network operator with the best fixed Internet speed, with an average download speed of 99.75 Mbps and an upload speed of 97.97 Mbps.

Second place belongs to FPT Telecom with download speed of 99.55 Mbps, upload speed of 91.86 Mbps. VNPT ranked third with download speed of 97.47 Mbps, upload speed of 87.86 Mbps.

With mobile broadband, the average download speed nationwide in February reached 65.61 Mbps, upload speed 22.8 Mbps. These figures decreased slightly compared to the previous month (download 69.38 Mbps, upload 25.44 Mbps).

Among the five major cities recorded by i-Speed, Da Nang still had the best mobile Internet speed in February, with an average download speed of 93.16 Mbps. For comparison, Ho Chi Minh City recorded a speed of 75.92 Mbps, and Hanoi was 63.26 Mbps.

Viettel and VNPT respectively held the top two positions in terms of mobile Internet speed in February. Viettel's average download/upload speeds were 67.44 and 21.42 Mbps respectively. For comparison, VNPT recorded 66.86 and 27.14 Mbps respectively.

In February, MobiFone ranked 3rd with an average download speed of 45.26 Mbps and an average upload speed of 21.81 Mbps. Vietnamobile ranked 4th with an average download/upload speed of 8.02 and 3.9 Mbps, respectively.

In addition to the available parameters, users can check their Internet speed on i-Speed. According to the Department of Telecommunications, regularly measuring and sharing data via the application aims to check the actual speed and quality of service, promote the improvement of Internet access service quality, and help people choose the right service provider.

Measurement data through i-Speed ​​will be aggregated and published periodically on the website speedtest.vn . The application is released for free on web and mobile devices.
