Hoang Duc injured, at risk of missing Laos match

At Binh Duong Stadium, Nguyen Hoang Duc was arranged by coach Kim Sang-sik to start. After the match, coach Kim Sang-sik shared: "Whenever a player slips or falls, I feel worried. The moment Hoang Duc was lying on the field just appeared in my mind like that."

"I hope Hoang Duc is not seriously injured. He is an important player for the Vietnam team. When Hoang Duc shows signs of having problems, I will make a replacement," the Korean captain added.

Currently, the injury status of the midfielder of Ninh Binh Club is unknown. If he has a problem with his groin, Hoang Duc may be absent when the Vietnamese team faces Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers on March 25.

During the journey of Vietnam to win the ASEAN Cup 2024, Hoang Duc played prominently in the squad. He started 7 times in 8 matches and was only substituted twice when the Vietnam team was leading with a safe gap.
