Duc Chien's two goals helped Viettel Club defeat Binh Duong 2-1, thereby rising to 4th place in the V-League 2023 rankings after 12 rounds.
In the match of round 12 Night Wolf V-League 2023 at Hang Day Stadium, Viettel Club was the team that took the initiative to attack after the referee's opening whistle, while Binh Duong did not have Tien Linh in this match so they focused on defensive counter-attacking play.
In the 11th minute, Hoang Duc fired a shot from inside the penalty area but the ball went straight into goalkeeper Minh Toan. In the 18th minute, Rimario received a yellow card after a fierce tackle on Hoang Duc. Fortunately for Viettel Club, the midfielder wearing the number 28 shirt was able to continue playing.

The turning point of the match was in the 24th minute. Binh Duong's Du Dat touched the ball with his hand in the penalty area, referee Tran Ngoc Nho immediately awarded a penalty to Viettel Club. At the 11m mark, Duc Chien easily fooled goalkeeper Minh Toan to open the score for the home team.
With the goal, Viettel played much better. In the 31st minute, rookie Essam skillfully controlled the ball with his chest and then turned around to make a beautiful volley in the penalty area, but unfortunately could not beat Binh Duong goalkeeper Minh Toan.
In the 33rd minute, from a corner kick from his teammate, center back Bui Tien Dung headed the ball to hit the ground, but it missed the Binh Duong goal post.
In the 45th minute, from a cross from a Binh Duong player in Viettel Club's penalty area, goalkeeper Van Phong rushed out to catch the ball but it slipped out of his hands when it landed. Quang Hung immediately finished into an empty net, tying the score 1-1 for the away team.

Notably, this is Quang Hung's first match in 9 years, when he just returned to the field after a suspension.
Right at the beginning of the second half, Hai Quan shot over the bar in a comfortable position, missing a regrettable opportunity for Binh Duong.
In the 64th minute, Viettel Club once again took the lead. Receiving the ball from his teammate, Duc Chien shot from close to the penalty area, but goalkeeper Minh Toan let the ball slip through his hands and roll into the net.
In the 72nd minute, Hai Quan curled the ball beautifully from the edge of the penalty area but could not defeat Viettel FC's goalkeeper Van Phong. After this situation, coach Le Huynh Duc decided to send striker Tien Linh in to replace Tong Anh Ty. The match ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of Viettel.
