National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue has just successfully concluded his official visit to Indonesia and Iran. Could you tell us about the significance and results of the National Assembly Chairman's visit?
The working trip of the National Assembly Chairman was a great success, demonstrated in the respect, cordiality, and close friendship for Vietnam and the National Assembly Chairman; in the in-depth, substantive, and specific exchanges; in the diverse and rich activities; in the meetings and exchanges with many circles, both central and local; and in the great messages we conveyed to friendly countries.
The visit contributes to continuing to implement the foreign policy of the 13th Party Congress, which prioritizes developing relations with neighboring countries, ASEAN, and traditional friends. The visit was widely reported by Indonesian and Iranian media, praising the traditional friendship and potential for cooperation between Vietnam and the two countries.
In particular, the policy speech of the National Assembly Chairman was highly appreciated by the public, politicians, scholars and the press, affirming that the speech shared the vision on the relationship between Vietnam and other countries, many valuable experiences in national development, especially the idea of "taking people as the root".
On this occasion, 30 cooperation agreements were signed between Vietnamese enterprises and Indonesian and Iranian enterprises.

For Indonesia, this is the first bilateral visit of the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam to Indonesia in 13 years; taking place on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Strategic Partnership. The Chairman of the National Assembly had a dense and very effective working program with 21 activities within 3 days, with politicians, scholars, businesses and the Indonesian press. The country of Indonesia gave the Chairman of the National Assembly a thoughtful, respectful and warm welcome.
The two sides affirmed to continue to deepen the traditional friendship associated with high political trust between Vietnam and Indonesia, on the solid foundation built by the two great founding fathers, President Ho Chi Minh and President Sukarno.
Indonesian leaders affirmed that they highly value and wish to further develop relations with Vietnam - Indonesia's only strategic partner in ASEAN.
The two sides also agreed to bring the Vietnam-Indonesia Strategic Partnership to a new stage of development and to a new height .
The two sides affirmed to promote economic - trade - investment relations, national defense, security, maritime cooperation, education, culture, tourism, people-to-people, local and business exchanges; agreed to open markets for products of both sides with potential and strengths such as agricultural and aquatic products, including Halal products; open up cooperation opportunities in new strategic areas such as green economy, fair energy transition, safe digital transformation, etc.
The two sides affirmed to continue close cooperation in other important areas, especially the two sides sharing a common strategic vision on the region, cooperating at regional and international parliamentary forums (AIPA, IPU, APPF) and agreed to continue supporting each other's stance on international and regional issues of mutual concern.

For Iran, this is the first visit by the Chairman of our National Assembly in 24 years, taking place right on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Iranian leaders at all levels gave the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly a very respectful and warm welcome. With the message "Vietnam - Iran cooperation for peace and development", the visit was a great success after 3 days of effective work in the two cities of Tehran and Isfahan, in which the following remarkable results emerged:
First , during the exchange, senior leaders, scholars, businesses and Iranian friends all affirmed that the visit would bring relations between the two countries into a new stage of development, while emphasizing their belief in a "bright future of cooperation" between the two countries.

Second , the two National Assemblies agreed to establish a cooperation mechanism in supervising the implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements; contributing to perfecting the legal framework with 7 signed cooperation agreements, including areas that are extremely necessary for economic cooperation such as trade promotion; animal and plant quarantine; Halal standards...
Third , the visit created new momentum, bringing economic cooperation between the two countries to develop substantially and effectively, commensurate with the good political relations. The first forum on policies and laws to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation held in Iran attracted the participation of more than 400 Iranian and Vietnamese delegates.
Vietnam and Iran also agreed to promote cooperation in science - technology, industry, health, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, etc.; agreed to soon organize the 10th meeting of the Vietnam - Iran Joint Committee in the early fourth quarter of 2023.
Fourth , for the first time, the "Vietnam Cultural Week" was held on a large scale in Iran, helping the Iranian public better understand the country and people of Vietnam; creating a favorable premise for multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
