At the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Ha Vy informed that the city organized a series of activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025). These include activities to show gratitude and repay kindness; National Festival to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the Homeland in 1,200 residential areas in the city; seminars, exhibitions, sports; flower car parade - flower boat to celebrate the Liberation Day...

For the honoring activities, the city directed the organization of the "Da Nang Dedication 2025" Award to honor and reward individuals with outstanding achievements and especially great contributions to the development of the city and the country. On this occasion, the city proposed that the Government award the First Class Labor Medal to the Party Committee, Government and People of Da Nang City.

Activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City were also held throughout the city through accompanying activities, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere for people and tourists coming to Da Nang on this occasion.

In particular, the Anniversary Ceremony will be held on the morning of March 29, 2025 at Tien Son Sports Palace with about 4,000 delegates attending and broadcast live. This is a very important political event, associated with propaganda and introducing the socio-economic achievements of Da Nang city over the past 50 years.

Based on the assessment of the city's 50-year journey of construction and development, all cadres, soldiers and people of Da Nang are encouraged to promote the spirit of revolutionary offensive, strive to compete, and successfully complete the socio-economic, security and defense tasks in 2025 through the exhibition "Da Nang - 50 years of Development and Integration" chaired by the Department of Industry and Trade, organized around the Tien Son Sports Palace from March 26 to 30, 2025.

Within the framework of the Anniversary Ceremony, there is the art program "Heroic Da Nang - Rising into the new era" performed by Trung Vuong Theater.

On the evening of March 29, at 29-3 Square, a special art program "Bridges to the future" will take place with the participation of singers: My Tam, Soobin Hoang Son, Tung Duong, My Linh, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Anh Tho, People's Artist Phan Van Quang, To My, Thanh Thao (Muoi), Hong Minh, DJ Mie, Miss Thanh Thuy, designer Cong Tri, Vietnamese supermodels and artists of Trung Vuong Theater.

Immediately after the end of the art program, at 22:00, the City Military Command will organize low- and high-altitude fireworks displays at Asia Park for 20 minutes.

It is expected that on this occasion, the city will hold a ceremony to announce the completion of the Da Nang Museum project and start the Uncle Ho Statue project in the premises of the Da Nang General Science Library.

Introducing the city's potential, strengths and achievements at the Exhibition "Da Nang - Development and Integration"

Regarding the Exhibition “Da Nang - Development and Integration”, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Do Thi Quynh Tram said that the Exhibition will take place from March 26 to March 30, 2025 at Tien Son Sports Palace; open to visitors from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily. The opening ceremony will be at 8:30 a.m. on March 26, 2025. The total exhibition area is planned to be over 10,800 m2.

The exhibition aims to introduce the city's potential, strengths, achievements in socio-economics, national defense and security to the people, investment partners, domestic and foreign enterprises in order to exploit the maximum development potential of Da Nang city for the whole region and the whole country; is an opportunity to promote the Vietnamese brand, the Da Nang brand, creating stimulus in trade promotion, tourism and investment activities.

At the same time, it commends the dynamism and creativity in the cause of building and developing the city of all sectors, levels, and enterprises in the process of regional and international economic integration, demonstrating the central role in many aspects of Da Nang city for the Central and Central Highlands regions. Thereby, educating the awareness and pride of the city's people, mobilizing the resources of the whole society to contribute to the sustainable development and successful integration of Da Nang city.

No interruption in management activities when arranging the organization

Regarding the functions and tasks of departments and branches after the arrangement, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs Le Phu Nguyen said that after completing the arrangement of departments and branches and suing the organization of the City People's Committee, the city is currently carrying out procedures to advise the Central Government to merge the College of Culture and Arts and the Da Nang Vocational College and change its name to Da Nang College; advising to end the pilot Food Safety Management Board to establish the Food Safety Sub-Department under the Department of Industry and Trade.

For public service units under the department (expected to reduce 09 units), the departments and branches are urgently completing all reorganization procedures in March 2025.

Regarding the transfer of functions and tasks, the City People's Committee has issued Decisions on the transfer of functions, tasks, and organizational apparatus between departments and branches according to the direction and conclusions of the Central Government.

As of March 15, 2025, the City People's Committee has issued Decisions stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of 05 new Departments and related departments: Department of Health, Department of Education and Training, Office of the City People's Committee, Department of Justice. At the same time, reorganizing specialized agencies under the People's Committees of districts.

The work of reorganizing the apparatus after summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW was carried out with a spirit of urgency, responsibility, determination, synchronization, unity, thrift and efficiency.

The process of handing over and receiving tasks focuses on digital transformation, digitizing records and archives to serve the special transfer of contents of records and administrative procedures of citizens and organizations, ensuring no interruption in management activities.

Speaking at the Conference, Chief of Office of the City People's Committee Le Tu Gia Thanh informed about some additional contents and work that the city will deploy in March 2025.

According to the plan, the city will organize the installation of signs and technical traffic opening of the following projects: technical traffic opening of Quang Da bridge and the bridge approach road; installation of signs for the project of Renovation and upgrading of 42 Bach Dang facility to build Da Nang Museum; installation of signs for the social housing project for people with revolutionary contributions on Vu Mong Nguyen street.

Conducting groundbreaking ceremonies for the following projects: Upgrading and renovating March 29 Park; Upgrading drainage systems and undergrounding information cables and lighting on 04 inner-city roads (Phan Chau Trinh, Le Loi, Hoang Dieu, Ong Ich Khiem); Upgrading and renovating Ngu Hanh Son District Medical Center.

Currently, the city is planning a specific program and will inform reporters, journalists, and press agencies in detail in the coming time.
