The first party members
According to historical documents recorded at the Hong Ky Commune Party Committee, after the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded on February 3, 1930, core party members spread to many localities to propagate Marxism-Leninism and develop the movement to fight against colonial domination.
Under the direction of the Party, in early 1933, comrade Nguyen Tao, an officer of the Central Financial Management Board, and comrade Le Dinh Tuyen, a member of the Hanoi Party Committee, members of the first class of party members of the Communist Party of Vietnam, escaped from Hoa Lo prison to Tan Yen hamlet (Hong Ky commune) to carry out revolutionary activities.
Initially, Party cadres established two revolutionary bases in Tan Yen and Dong Tho hamlets, which later expanded to 24 villages and hamlets with more than 200 participants. Many farmers and tenant farmers who were actively enlightened about the revolution joined the activities, forming secret peasant and self-defense organizations.
To build a communist nucleus to lead the movement, on March 17, 1933, at Lo Bat area, the plantation area of landlord Do Dinh Thong (Tan Yen hamlet), the conference to establish the Tan Yen Party Cell chaired by comrade Nguyen Tao took place.
In the early stages, the Party Cell had 6 core members, with comrade Nguyen Tao as Secretary. The members included: Do Viet Oc, Nguyen Dang Dao, Dang Viet Thua, Dang Viet Teo and Nguyen Van Thu. Later, comrade Le Dinh Tuyen joined the activities of this Party Cell.
The establishment of the Tan Yen Party Cell had a profound impact on the awareness, ideology and revolutionary spirit of the people here. Many people were enlightened and became active factors in the revolutionary movement. Under the leadership of the cell, farmers and tenant farmers in hamlets in Hong Ky commune rose up to fight for rent and tax reduction, forcing plantation owners to accept...
Revolutionary homeland changes
Tan Yen Party Cell was established and operated for a short time but it showed its role, position and scope of influence on the revolutionary movement of Da Phuc district in particular and the whole region in general is extremely large.
On May 19, 1999, the Tan Yen Party Cell Memorial House located in the cultural center of Tan Yen village, in administrative area No. 6 of Hong Ky commune, was inaugurated, becoming a meaningful place for activities and traditional education for generations of cadres, party members and people.
In 2009, the Memorial House of Tan Yen Party Cell was ranked as a city-level revolutionary historical relic by the Hanoi People's Committee. This is not only a source of pride, but also once again affirms the great role of the event of establishing Tan Yen Party Cell 92 years ago.
From a locality with many difficulties, the people of Tan Yen village (Hong Ky commune) stood firm, made a living and established their careers, building their homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized. The appearance of the countryside is constantly being renewed in a modern direction.
Secretary of the Party Committee of Hong Ky Commune Nguyen Thi Tra Lien said that after reaching the advanced new rural area finish line, the Party Committee of the commune issued a thematic resolution on building a model new rural area, and assigned the People's Committee of the commune to develop a specific plan for implementation.
Up to now, the economic and social infrastructure of Tan Yen village in particular and Hong Ky commune in general has developed more and more synchronously. The electricity - road - school - station system meets the development requirements in the new period.
In addition to agricultural production, local people have promoted the development and expansion of a number of occupations such as carpentry, construction, mechanical repair, services, forestry, animal husbandry, etc. Thanks to that, the average income per capita of local people has been increasingly improved. Tan Yen village in particular and Hong Ky commune in general no longer have poor households.
In February 2025, the Party Committee, government and people of Hong Ky commune also received great joy when the Hanoi People's Committee recognized it as a model new rural area. This is an important step forward in the construction and development of Hong Ky commune, affirming the continuation of the heroic historical tradition of Tan Yen land.
“The Party Committee, government and people of Hong Ky commune have inherited and promoted the revolutionary tradition of their homeland to build an increasingly strong Party Committee, while leading and directing the successful completion of many socio-economic targets in recent years. In the coming time, we request that cadres, party members and people of the commune continue to be proactive, closely follow key tasks, choose areas of strength for investment and development; determined to complete the targets and tasks of 2025 and the entire 2020-2025 term” - Secretary of Soc Son District Party Committee Bui Duy Cuong .
