Kinhtedothi - The first Chau Thanh District Pink Trumpet Flower Week in 2025, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Soc Trang province in coordination with the People's Committee of Chau Thanh district, has officially begun with many exciting and attractive activities lasting until March 19.
In particular, the event took place on a road more than 1km long with nearly 300 trumpet trees in full bloom, creating a brilliant space for visitors.
At this event, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about pink trumpet flowers through publications and promotional works; find souvenirs and tourist gifts; watch the Ao Dai performance on the "pink trumpet flower street" and experience Rom vong dance and flattened green rice of the Khmer people in Soc Trang.
In addition, visitors can also participate in the Vietnamese Goods Fair for the countryside with about 40 exhibition booths and organize food and beverage areas to serve visitors with 20 booths along with many cultural, sports, artistic activities and folk games. In 2012, the pink trumpet flower road was formed to create shade and green landscape on the road to the Chau Thanh District Administrative Area.
Every year, in March, locals and tourists from near and far eagerly come to Hung Vuong Street, leading to the administrative area of Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province to admire the blooming pink trumpet flowers, with their shimmering, charming, captivating beauty.
Ms. Nguyen Minh Tam (residing in Ninh Kieu, Can Tho City) shared: Since the pink trumpet flowers bloomed, she and her family have taken the opportunity to admire and take pictures as souvenirs. This year, her family arrived early to visit, take pictures, attend the opening ceremony and enjoy local cuisine.
