On the occasion of Vietnamese Family Day (June 28), on June 27, President To Lam visited, met and encouraged the people of Duong Lam ancient village, Son Tay town, Hanoi.
Family is the most important stronghold of every person.
Talking to people at Duong Lam ancient communal house, President To Lam affirmed that family is the cell of society, the most important nurturing place and stronghold of each person.
Family is always closely linked to community, neighborhood, village, is a solid foundation to promote the strength and longevity of the nation.
The annual Vietnamese Family Day is a very meaningful occasion to honor family values, for children and grandchildren to turn to their roots, to their loved ones, to cultivate good feelings, and precious traditional cultural values of their homeland and country.
Expressing his joy at visiting Duong Lam to share joy with the people on Vietnamese Family Day, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, the President sent his warm regards and congratulations to all local people, hoping that Duong Lam would continue to promote its heroic tradition to develop sustainably and prosperously.
Recalling the history of Duong Lam ancient village, which is considered a "spiritual land of talented people", a cultural and revolutionary homeland, with a proud tradition of studiousness not only of generations of Duong Lam families and people but also of the capital Hanoi and the whole country, the President emphasized that today's generation always remembers the contributions of the predecessors in this heroic land.
At the same time, it affirms that the development history of Duong Lam is also known to the world as a historical site that needs to be maintained and the traditional heritage of the village needs to be preserved.

Hope to continue to unite to build our homeland to be more and more developed and prosperous.
The President said that with the precious heritages of hundreds of years left by previous generations, including the characteristics of ancient villages in the North such as village gates, communal houses, ancient houses, etc., today's generation needs to show responsibility for maintaining and preserving them.
At the same time, continue to promote customs, traditions and family rules, as well as relics to introduce to the world the typical traditional rural cultural features of Vietnam.
Affirming that the Party and State always care for every Vietnamese family, consistent with the policy of "leaving no one behind", the President commended and highly appreciated the local government and people for the results achieved in social security work in recent years.
In particular, Duong Lam is one of the leading communes of Son Tay town in building a model new rural area when it has completed 80% of the target, there are no more poor households, people care for, love, support each other to develop together in a civilized, harmonious and united society.
The President also expressed his belief that Son Tay town in general and Duong Lam commune in particular will continue to achieve greater successes, unite to build the homeland to become more and more developed and prosperous, and have more talents contributing to the common development cause.
Before that, the President offered incense at the temple of Bo Cai Dai Vuong Phung Hung and King Ngo Quyen. He also visited and presented gifts to two typical families of Duong Lam commune.
