The products participating in the evaluation and classification are all recognized as 4-star OCOP products.
Mr. Dang Minh Phap, Head of the Department of Rural Development of Bac Lieu province, said that after 4 years, the OCOP program has been implemented synchronously, widely and achieved high efficiency, creating a new wind for the rural economic sector, which is the right direction, contributing to restructuring the agricultural sector, increasing value, and increasing income for people. OCOP products are increasingly increasing in value, expanding the consumption market. OCOP products. Statistics show that after being recognized, the output of OCOP products and the amount of goods consumed increased by an average of 10-20% compared to before being recognized as OCOP products.
Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thieu said that along with efforts to improve quality, Bac Lieu province is implementing many solutions to connect, promote and help OCOP products reach further.
After more than 4 years of implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, with the strong participation of the Party Committee, the government, the support of the people and the active participation of enterprises and cooperatives, up to now, the whole Bac Lieu province has had 130 OCOP products (including 33 products with 4 stars and 97 products with 3 stars), contributing to improving the quality and value of the province's typical products; at the same time, expanding promotion and increasing income for subjects participating in the OCOP program.
Chairman of Bac Lieu noted that it is necessary to minimize the duplication of products, and to research and create "new and unique" products to increase the value of the products, helping the products compete and stand firm in the market in the coming time.
