(NLDO) - In just a few minutes, the world gold price lost tens of USD/ounce when it plummeted to nearly 2,900 USD/ounce. The price of SJC gold bars also fluctuated rapidly.

At the end of March 6, the world gold price suddenly "turned around" and plummeted. At 7 p.m., Vietnam time, the world gold price dropped to 2,890 USD/ounce, losing 30 USD/ounce in just a few minutes.

A few minutes later, the gold price recovered to above $2,900/ounce, but was still down about $15/ounce compared to the afternoon session. During the day, the gold price fluctuated continuously and at times fell to its lowest level in the past 2 weeks.

Gold prices fell despite the US dollar index remaining at its lowest level since November last year, around 104.1 points. Many investors said they were dizzy with gold prices as they continuously increased rapidly and then decreased sharply.

Precious metals on the international market unexpectedly fell at the end of the day, leading to a downward trend in domestic gold prices. Currently, the price of SJC gold bars sold by SJC, PNJ, and DOJI companies has simultaneously dropped to 90.7 million VND/tael for buying and 92.7 million VND/tael for selling, down 300,000 VND/tael compared to the afternoon. Compared to the morning, the gold price has stabilized and is at its highest level in more than 3 weeks.

The price of SJC gold bars and gold rings fluctuated continuously today.

During the day, gold prices were continuously adjusted by businesses to increase to 93 million VND/tael and then decrease back to 92.7 million VND/tael. Some companies such as Mi Hong sharply reduced the selling price to 92.5 million VND/tael.

The price of 99.99 plain gold rings was also reduced by businesses to 90.7 million VND/tael for buying and 92.6 million VND/tael for selling, down 300,000 VND per tael compared to this afternoon.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 89.8 million VND/tael, lower than SJC gold bars and gold rings by about 3 million VND/tael. The difference between domestic and world gold prices has begun to widen in the context of world gold prices fluctuating faster than SJC gold bars and gold rings in recent days.
