The specialized sector is focusing on overcoming defects in the power grid to ensure stable power supply for the 2023 High School Exam in Ha Tinh.

This year's high school graduation exam will take place from June 27 to 29. In recent days, officials and workers of Ha Tinh City Electricity have stepped up efforts to fix grid defects; coordinated with schools to inspect the entire grid system to come up with timely solutions.

For this year's high school exam, Ha Tinh Specialized High School (Ha Tinh City) has 24 exam rooms with more than 500 students taking the exam. In recent days, the school has coordinated with the electricity industry to handle electrical system defects on campus.

Mr. Phan Khac Nghe - Vice Principal of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted said: "With a large equipment system: 82 air conditioners, 200 computers, printers, electric fans, lighting, etc., the school has invested in a specialized transformer station. On this occasion, through inspection, officers and workers of Ha Tinh City Electricity pointed out the shortcomings of the power grid such as: transformers running out of oil, oil leakage at the low-voltage bushing; heat generation at the bushing; the main cable from the transformer to the low-voltage cabinet is overloaded; the cable is cracked, the insulation layer is peeled off... Thereby, the school coordinates with related units and specialized sectors to promptly overcome, ensuring stable operation of electrical equipment, serving well for the upcoming important exam".

The electricity industry has increased inspections of specialized transformer stations of schools.

Ha Tinh City Electricity also proactively coordinated with Phan Dinh Phung High School and Thanh Sen High School to focus on checking the electrical system in the school.

Mr. Tran Xuan Thong - Director of Ha Tinh City Electricity said: "On the one hand, the electricity department checks and handles defects on the grid, ensuring power supply for exam locations; on the other hand, coordinates with schools to check the power line system after the meter, specialized transformer stations; checks and handles contact points and joints that do not meet technical standards. At the same time, we advise and guide schools to re-check backup generators, how to use generators to ensure safety...".

At this time, Ky Anh Electricity also established working groups to inspect the electrical system at 5 exam locations in Ky Anh town and Ky Anh district; including: Ky Lam High School, Nguyen Thi Bich Chau High School, Nguyen Hue High School, Ky Anh High School and Le Quang Chi High School.

Ky Anh Electricity workers fix problems on the grid, especially transformer stations supplying power to exam sites and related lines.

Mr. Dang Don Son - Director of Ky Anh Electricity said: "The electricity sector has arranged workers to increase day and night inspections at exam locations before the exam date to promptly detect and fix problems. In addition, we coordinate with schools to conduct a general inspection of the power grid system and support the handling of defects. Specifically, the electricity sector has promptly detected and supported Nguyen Hue High School (Ky Phong commune, Ky Anh district) to handle the joints of wires that do not meet technical standards from the transformer station to the buildings, and handle the fuse contacts at the school's specialized transformer station. For other exam locations in the area, we focus on checking and handling joints that do not meet technical standards, checking and advising schools on connecting backup generators...".

It is known that for the 2023 High School Graduation Exam, the Ha Tinh Examination Council has 35 exam sites with more than 17,200 candidates registered to participate. During the exam days, Ha Tinh Electricity Company will not cut off power in areas related to the exam sites, except in case of troubleshooting or special cases.

Ha Tinh Electricity Company inspects and advises schools on connecting backup generators.

The electricity sector will also arrange staff and workers to be on duty at 100% of the examination sites; prepare enough materials, equipment and means to urgently repair or switch to backup methods, quickly restore power to examination sites if an incident occurs; organize direct work with relevant units to have a detailed plan for 24/24h power supply to serve the work of marking and grading at examination sites throughout the province...

Mr. Pham Viet Thang - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Electricity Company informed: "To ensure the exam takes place smoothly and safely, we have proactively worked and coordinated with the examination councils to grasp the list, time, location and power supply needs at the exam venues, working locations of the steering committees, and examination councils to implement a priority plan to ensure power supply from June 25 to June 30, 2023".
