In Hop Thanh commune (Trieu Son), behind the somewhat modest product display store is the large production area of Anh Khoi Trading and Production Joint Stock Company. This is where many tea bag products are processed and packaged from local “homegrown” ingredients. In 2024, this enterprise will have 2 products recognized as meeting 3-star OCOP standards: “Son Mot Tra - Young Guava Leaves” and “Son Moc Tra - Ginger, Perilla”.
Not stopping at stages such as drying, crushing and packaging like many handmade products, this place has a modern processing system. Each stage has been specialized to increase productivity with the support of machinery. Company Director Le Tam Son said: "Guava products in Hop Thanh hometown as well as Trieu Son district are countless, but we have to apply scientific and technological advances and machinery to remove tannin, which is the substance that causes astringency and constipation. Other tea ingredients such as ginger and perilla are also deeply processed to have quality according to standards to bring to the market. Currently, the company has dozens of places to display, introduce and supply products in all districts, towns and cities in the province".
Under the skillful hands of local workers, thousands of tea packages made from local herbs are packaged every day. Although it has not been long since the company became an OCOP product manufacturing facility, it has developed a market for its products to a number of provinces and cities in the country through online sales channels. With these positive signs, the company has planned to expand its production scale and is currently collaborating to develop specialized areas for growing Solanum procumbens and medicinal herbs in an organic direction, ensuring food hygiene and safety. The initial success of the enterprise has turned very ordinary and popular local ingredients into useful products.
Continuously expanding the market for products, at the end of 2024, Xu Thanh Bird's Nest Production and Trading Company Limited (Hau Loc) opened another store in Mong Cai City (Quang Ninh). This is a showroom that both introduces and sells products, sells water and coffee, and combines on-site cooking for customers to enjoy bird's nest products upon request.
According to company director Nguyen Van Tu: “The store is located right in Vinhomes Mong Cai, the most modern urban area in Quang Ninh with a large number of Chinese visitors. The company's goal is not only to target the wealthy community here, but also to gradually approach the Chinese market. Previously, the company welcomed a number of Chinese business delegations to its production facility in Hau Loc to explore cooperation opportunities, paving the way for the official export of Thanh Hoa bird's nest products to China.”
To gain prestige for its products, the company has developed more than 20 products of all kinds, including 3 4-star OCOP products. For many years, the company has imported a system of deep processing machinery to produce concentrated cordyceps drinks, a closed vacuum system, imported filling machines, sterilizers, automatic capping and labeling systems... From there, all products are deeply processed according to the highest standards of Vietnam today. Recently, the company has added the product "Dong Duoc Vuong", a type of drink in glass bottles based on deep processing of bird's nest, cordyceps, lingzhi mushrooms and Korean red apples.
“The company identifies the science and technology factor as a breakthrough in production and deep processing of products to conquer the market. Since then, over the years, the company's OCOP products have been strongly developed on e-commerce platforms, aiming at digital business. With the current trend, to develop, it is certain that science and technology must be applied and digital transformation in production and business,” Mr. Tu affirmed.
