Kinhtedothi - The fire that broke out on the evening of March 20 at Bang Lang Hill, near Tau Mountain (Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province) did not cause any human casualties, only burning the ground cover. Late on March 20, 2025, a large fire broke out on Bang Lang hill, near Tau mountain (in Phuoc The commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province).
At the time of the fire, there was a strong wind and many dry trees on the hill, so the fire spread quickly. The Binh Thuan Provincial Fire Prevention and Rescue Police and specialized vehicles were present at the scene to deploy fire fighting.
Tau Mountain is also one of the most beautiful places to see Lagerstroemia flowers in Ninh Thuan, so it attracts many tourists to check in. Every blooming season, when coming to this mountain, visitors can go up Lagerstroemia hill, among the brilliant flower bushes and enjoy the gentle scent in the wind, watch the purple color covering the space and enjoy the sweetness and peace of nature.
The purple Lagerstroemia season in Binh Thuan usually begins around April and May and will be in full bloom by July. Then the flowers will continue to bloom until the end of October. From November onwards, the Lagerstroemia leaves will begin to fall and the Lagerstroemia tree will only have its trunk left, waiting for the rainy season to accumulate sap and continue to sprout and flower the following year.
The season of purple flowers in Binh Thuan begins early or late depending on the amount of rain. If the rainy season comes early, the flowers will bloom early and vice versa. Coming to Binh Thuan in the purple flower season will be a wonderful experience for tourists, when they can enjoy the unforgettable sea of brilliant flowers.
Because it grows in arid, rocky land, the Lagerstroemia in Tau Mountain mostly grows in low bushes, with flowers blooming brilliantly all over the hillside, creating an extremely impressive scene, like purple clouds covering the entire hillside.
To get to Bang Lang hill, visitors go along from Binh Thuan - Ninh Thuan direction on National Highway 1A, 5km north of Dai Hoa bridge (Phuoc The).
