On December 27, the organizers of the Vietnam-Singapore match opened ticket sales for the second leg of the AFF Cup 2024 semi-final. Tickets are priced at 600,000 VND/ticket, 500,000 VND/ticket, and 300,000 VND/ticket, depending on the position on the field.
Many fans agreed to bring mats, chairs and many other items to line up from the night of December 26.
However, not everyone is lucky and has joy. A fan brought a mat to line up but still could not get a ticket to the stadium.
At around 9am, many fans were impatient and tried to cross the fence when the organizers announced that tickets were almost sold out.
The crowd began to riot and security forces had to intervene forcefully.
Some fans deliberately violated the rules but were immediately asked to leave the ticket queue area.
At 11:05, the organizers announced that all tickets were sold out, forcing many people to leave. Many of them were upset.
A man couldn't hold back his tears and burst into tears while waiting in line for hours. But when it was his turn to enter, the organizers announced that all the tickets were sold out and he missed his chance.
This is the common feeling of many Phu Tho people when they missed the ticket to watch the match.
A pregnant female fan also could not buy a ticket. The semi-final match will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 27.
