Recently, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control under the Ministry of Public Security has synchronously deployed measures and professional work to combat and destroy many large-scale and complex gambling rings and gangs, and online gambling organizations nationwide.

Professional units also regularly exchange and coordinate with functional units of the Ministry of Information and Communications to proactively review, detect, and block websites, links, and social network accounts that advertise and organize gambling in cyberspace.

The results of all aspects of work have contributed to repelling and preventing the complex activities of gambling crimes, limiting economic damage and consequences for society, and maintaining security and order in cyberspace.

However, recently, the activities of this type of crime have become increasingly sophisticated, constantly changing access domain names, using server systems located abroad to avoid detection, tracking, and prevention by functional units. The subjects use social networking platforms, especially Facebook, to post advertising information about online gambling activities.

Some subjects also spread false "denunciations" about the work of fighting and handling "websites" and gambling rings organized by the authorities. The Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control under the Ministry of Public Security affirmed that this is malicious, false information aimed at attracting public opinion, attacking and discrediting the authorities for the purpose of advertising about websites and gambling rings.

Faced with the above situation, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention is currently coordinating with functional units to verify and trace subjects who spread information advertising online gambling activities and false "denunciations" to strictly handle them according to the provisions of law.

At the same time, it is recommended that people strictly comply with legal regulations, raise awareness and consciousness about the consequences and harms of online gambling crimes; be vigilant against tricks and activities that entice and entice people to participate in organizing online gambling activities.

In case of detecting suspicious subjects related to advertising activities, organizing gambling, and online gambling, people are requested to promptly report to the nearest police agency for timely handling.

The Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control under the Ministry of Public Security will closely coordinate with the police of units, localities, functional agencies of the Ministry of Information and Communications, and people to fight and eradicate gambling dens and lines, and online gambling in all forms; coordinate with functional sectors to prosecute and strictly try violators before the law./.
