Tay Ninh identifies the development of clean agriculture and high-tech agriculture as a strategic and breakthrough direction, creating an important driving force to elevate the province's agricultural sector.
With this orientation, Tay Ninh not only makes the most of its available potential and advantages but also successfully attracts "leading birds" - large corporations in the field of high-tech agriculture for investment and development.
Catch the investment wave
One of the important milestones marking the great transformation of Tay Ninh is the groundbreaking of the DHP Food Processing Factory Complex Project (phase 1) and two DHN Tay Ninh High-tech Livestock Projects (DHN 2 and DHN 5) at the end of February 2025 with an investment capital of over 620 billion VND.
This is the result of strategic cooperation between two large corporations: De Heus (Netherlands) and Hung Nhon (Vietnam). These projects not only improve food production and processing capacity but also open up opportunities for Tay Ninh to become the leading high-tech agricultural center in the Southern region.
Accordingly, the chain of 3 projects is among 12 projects in the chain of high-tech agricultural complexes (total investment capital of 2,500 billion VND) in Tay Ninh committed to invest in construction by De Heus Group and Hung Nhon Group.
In particular, the DHP Food Processing Factory Complex project (phase 1) in Binh Quoi hamlet, Phuoc Binh commune, Trang Bang town, is implemented by De Heus Group in cooperation with Green Chicken Company Limited and HP Import-Export Investment Joint Stock Company on an area of 14.17 hectares, with a total investment of 300 billion VND; the DHN Tay Ninh 2 project built in Tan Hoi commune, Tan Chau district with a scale of 25 hectares, a total investment of 120 billion VND, will apply a closed farm model, providing 400,000 broilers/batch. The DHN Tay Ninh 5 project built in Suoi Day commune, Tan Chau district with a scale of 25 hectares, a total investment of 200 billion VND, specializes in producing high-quality breeding chickens with a capacity of 196,000 chickens/year, providing over 20 million eggs/year.
These solid steps are gradually helping Tay Ninh open up great opportunities for both people and businesses. Mr. Johan Van Den Ban, General Director of De Heus Group Vietnam and Asia, commented that Tay Ninh is one of the localities with many advantages and potentials to develop high-tech agriculture. The most special thing is the way Tay Ninh attracts and accompanies businesses from the time of learning about the investment environment to construction.
Accordingly, Mr. Johan Van Den Ban committed that the Group will focus on investing in the processing plant complex with modern, advanced technology from Europe, helping to reduce emissions and limit negative impacts on the environment. In phase 1, the factory will operate with a capacity of 18.7 million poultry/year (equivalent to 6,000 birds/hour).
Meanwhile, Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Nhon Group, said that all projects that have been and are being implemented in Tay Ninh apply 100% high technology according to international standards of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
Mr. Vu Manh Hung emphasized: "The implementation of the chain of projects can be considered an important milestone in the chain of high-tech agriculture, providing chickens for export that meet European standards in Tay Ninh. This is not only an investment in resources, but also an expectation for modern, sustainable agriculture, bringing practical value to farmers and the local economy."
Creating a sustainable agricultural foundation
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tay Ninh province, the province currently has 587 concentrated farms that have applied high technology in production, contributing to reducing pollution and improving economic efficiency. In particular, Tay Ninh has built more than 70 livestock facilities that have been certified as disease-free, creating a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the livestock industry.
Mr. Tran Van Chien, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, said that in recent years, Tay Ninh has been promoting investment attraction in high-tech agriculture and food processing industry, aiming to create a closed value chain from livestock farming to processing and supply. Thereby, helping to increase product value, develop sustainably and integrate deeply into both domestic and international markets.
Mr. Tran Van Chien commented that high-tech agricultural projects from farm management, disease control to livestock optimization not only demonstrate the strategic vision of investors but also are consistent with the economic development orientation of the province. Bringing Tay Ninh one more important step in realizing the goal of developing agriculture in the direction of value chains, quality, efficiency, meeting international standards to expand the market, improve efficiency and profits through promoting the application of advanced technology, mechanization, automation, computerization, digitalization and circular economy.
"Current high-tech agricultural projects are of great significance, creating a solid foundation for Tay Ninh to become a center for food processing and high-tech livestock farming in the region and the whole country. In particular, when the projects operate effectively, they will contribute to promoting local economic development, creating more jobs, and improving people's lives. Modern projects will also promote a modern, closed, and sustainable livestock value chain - production and processing for Tay Ninh agriculture," said Mr. Tran Van Chien.
