Answering the question of a reporter from Vietnam Television about the spirit of providing the highest, fastest, most timely and direct support to the people that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has implemented in recent days, Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh said: With the spirit of the highest and most urgent support to promptly assist the people of the provinces affected by storms and floods, right after the meeting of the Politburo (afternoon of September 9), on September 10, the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held an urgent meeting. In this spirit, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee together with member organizations of the Front, with the core being socio-political organizations, agreed to advise and propose to the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to launch a widespread campaign to the people of the whole country and overseas Vietnamese to share with the people of the localities affected by storms and floods.

In less than 3 hours, after the direction of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, at 3:00 p.m. on September 10, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a launching ceremony with the presence of Party and State leaders and General Secretary and President To Lam attended and witnessed the ceremony.

Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh shared that it was very touching that after only a very short time, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee received a great deal of registration and support from many organizations, individuals, businesses, philanthropists from localities across the country, overseas Vietnamese, and religious organizations contributing to the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In the spirit of supporting the people affected by storms and floods, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities across the country have also organized campaigns to mobilize and support people in localities affected by storms and floods. As of 5:00 p.m. on September 14, the total amount of funds transferred to the Central Relief Fund's account reached 1,001 billion VND. After only 4 days of launching, the amount of support has increased rapidly, from over 400 billion VND to over 1,000 billion VND.

At the program, answering reporters' questions about relief work and helping people in flood-hit areas, if enthusiasm and passion alone are not enough, there must also be understanding, coordination and rationality as well as transparency. How necessary is that in the current context? - Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh affirmed that this is very necessary, especially understanding in relief work. Regarding support, the Front is open and transparent so that people across the country clearly understand all support for people in flood-hit areas through the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Therefore, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has taken measures to publicize the support of benefactors and individuals by synthesizing and announcing on the mass media the amount of contributions, money and goods supported for people in areas facing difficulties due to natural disasters and floods.

According to Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee has coordinated with banks where accounts are opened to receive donations to make statements of donations from benefactors, organizations, and individuals sent to the Vietnam Fatherland Front. And the Front considers this a public matter so that people across the country know the amount of money that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has received every day, every hour, thereby spreading the noble gestures, the hearts, and the sharing of people across the country towards compatriots affected by storms and floods.

From the mobilized funds, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee has promptly provided support to localities. In the first phase (September 13), the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front transferred VND388 billion to localities. It is expected that on Monday (September 16), the Front will continue to provide a second phase of support based on the level of damage in the localities.

The support from the people of the whole country will soon be sent by the Central Relief Mobilization Committee to the localities affected by storm No. 3 to help people stabilize their lives soon. The issue is how to most effectively support people affected by storms and floods. That is how to support in a timely and quick manner so that people can soon stabilize their lives.

Initial material and essential goods support is very necessary, but it is time for us to have longer-term support so that people can rebuild their houses, rebuild their fields, stabilize their lives and stabilize production.

Through local fronts and organizations, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee will directly transfer support funds to affected areas so that people have more resources to focus on overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.

“I think that the contributions of organizations and individuals, in addition to material meaning, are more than just the heart, millions of hearts turned towards the people in the flood-hit areas to help them have more motivation to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and soon stabilize their lives,” Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh affirmed.

At the live TV program Towards the people in the flood-hit areas produced by Vietnam Television, there were many people joining hands to contribute and support directly. As soon as it ended, the amount of support through the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee increased to 1,052.6 billion VND.
