The form of receiving pension and social insurance benefits of employees is stipulated in Clause 3, Article 18 of the current Law on Social Insurance.

Accordingly, employees are allowed to participate in and enjoy social insurance regimes, and are issued and managed social insurance books according to the provisions of this law.
Eligible insurance participants are entitled to receive pensions and social insurance benefits in full and on time, in one of the following forms of payment: Directly from the social insurance agency or a service organization authorized by the social insurance agency; Through the employee's deposit account opened at a bank; Through the employer.
Social insurance participants are also entitled to health insurance in the following cases: Receiving pension; during maternity leave when giving birth or adopting a child.
Nearly 4,000 have not received pensions
Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance announced on December 18, 2023 that the unit will pay the pensions of January and February 2024 in the same payment period of January 2024, to create conditions for retirees to enjoy the Lunar New Year 2024.
Of which, cash payments will be made at payment points in the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office system for beneficiaries from January 2 to February 23. Regarding payments via personal accounts, Ho Chi Minh City will transfer money from January 2 to 3.
According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, as of January 31, there were still 3,759 beneficiaries in cash who had not yet come to post offices to receive pensions and social insurance benefits for January and February 2024.
