On August 10, 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communications solemnly held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland at the Information and Communications Martyrs' Cemetery, Tan Bien District, Tay Ninh Province.
Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung chaired the ceremony, attended by Deputy Ministers of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long, Nguyen Huy Dung, Nguyen Thanh Lam, Bui Hoang Phuong. On the local side, there was the participation of Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee.
Also attending the incense offering ceremony were delegates who are leaders and former leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications; Leaders of units under the Ministry; Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, People's Council, departments, branches of Tay Ninh province and Tan Bien district, and representatives of enterprises and units operating in the field of Information and Communications; Current and retired officials and employees; Relatives and comrades of the heroic martyrs resting here.
The incense offering ceremony was held in a solemn atmosphere to commemorate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the 79th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Postal Industry - now the Information and Communications Industry, the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
With respect and reverence before the souls of heroic martyrs, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung expressed deep gratitude to the relatives of the martyrs' families, people with revolutionary contributions, and comrades in the information and communications sector through the periods.
According to Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, in every achievement, every step forward of the industry today, the great contributions of the heroic martyrs will forever be engraved. It is the spirit and soul of the heroic martyrs that have been and are adding strength to the path of building and developing the country, on the path of the second Innovation of the information and communications industry.
Minister Nguyen Manh Hung shared that the Information and Communications industry, with digital technology on one side to create material strength, and the press and media on the other side, arouses the aspiration for a strong and prosperous Vietnam to create spiritual strength, and Vietnam will fly up with those wings.
Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung expressed his gratitude for the warm feelings and support of the Party Committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, departments, branches and organizations of Tay Ninh province and Tan Bien district who directed and coordinated with units of Vietnam Post Corporation and VNPT Group to take care of and look after the graves of 249 martyrs in the cemetery here, always spacious, warm, bright, clean and beautiful.
After the incense offering ceremony at the Information and Communications sector cemetery, the delegation also offered incense at the Hill 82 Martyrs Cemetery, Tay Ninh and visited the Post and Information Traditional House (R) at the Southern Central Bureau Relic Site.
Also at the Traditional House, on behalf of the Ministry of Information and Communications, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung also led the Ministry of Information and Communications to present 250 million VND to the Gratitude Fund of Tay Ninh province.
