Commend the revolutionary spirit, constant efforts, determination to overcome difficulties and rise up of workers and laborers

The 2023 Labor Forum with the theme of Perfecting policies and laws related to workers and trade unions took place at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House with a spirit of urgency, seriousness, high responsibility, frank and constructive exchange.

In his closing speech at the forum, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the forum's organizing agencies, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue acknowledged and thanked the sincere and frank opinions of delegates representing union members and workers nationwide. The National Assembly Chairman expressed his deep sympathy for the difficulties and hardships that workers and laborers are facing every day in production and life. The National Assembly Chairman praised the revolutionary spirit, constant efforts and determination to overcome difficulties and rise up of workers and laborers, always standing side by side with the Party and State in the process of building and developing the country, building a civilized lifestyle and high discipline in labor.

The National Assembly Chairman expressed his wish to receive enthusiastic contributions from union members, workers and unions at all levels to the important common tasks of the country to realize the aspiration of strength with two 100-year milestones set by our Party: by 2030, the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, becoming a developing country with modern industry and high average income; and by 2045, the 100th anniversary of the country's founding, becoming a developed country with high income.

“This is a very big aspiration and goal, but it is not impossible. To realize this aspiration, we need the participation and contribution of more than 52 million workers across the country. As the force that produces material wealth for society, for the development of the country and a very important subject in building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, we hope that workers will continue to participate and contribute more, give advice and suggestions not only on law making but also on national governance, local governance, and corporate governance...” - the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
