At the reception, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan expressed his honor to receive the Ambassador for his visit and work in the locality, and sincerely thanked the sentiments and congratulations of the Indian Ambassador for Yen Bai province and himself. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan highly appreciated the cooperation between the two sides when in the past time, Yen Bai province and India had many delegation exchanges, cultural exchanges, and investment opportunities in Yen Bai province, helping to strengthen and consolidate the friendship, cooperation, and cultural exchange between Yen Bai province and India.

In February 2025, Yen Bai province sent a working delegation and an art troupe of the province to participate in the "Maha - Kumbh 2025" Festival in India at the invitation of the Indian Embassy in Hanoi to promote the friendship, cooperation and cultural exchange between Yen Bai province and localities of India, promoting the unique cultural values ​​of the ethnic groups of Yen Bai province.

Along with that, Yen Bai province has created favorable conditions for Indian enterprises to explore investment opportunities in the province as well as to increase production and business activities in areas where Indian enterprises have strengths such as: mining, processing white marble, producing CaCO3 stone powder, wall putty and Taical plastic granules. The province is also continuing to implement solutions to attract investment, reform administrative procedures, and create all conditions for foreign enterprises, including Indian ones, to invest long-term in the locality.

The Provincial Party Secretary thanked the Indian Government for its interest in deploying non-refundable aid funds to Yen Bai province from 2021 to present. He hoped that in the coming time, the Indian Embassy would continue to provide aid to build a number of small-scale infrastructure projects such as irrigation, rural roads, etc. under the Indian Government's Rapid Impact Fund. At the same time, he suggested that the Indian Embassy and Yen Bai province promote trade connection activities in the agricultural sector, in which the Embassy would support Yen Bai province in building a database on cinnamon, star anise and cinnamon growing areas.

Especially the products that Yen Bai has advantages in such as: cinnamon, tea, products from planted forests... From there, helping Indian enterprises have more opportunities to come to learn and promote investment in the province. He hopes that through the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, many students from Yen Bai province will have the opportunity to receive scholarships to study abroad from the Indian Government...

At the reception, Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam, sincerely thanked Yen Bai province for its attention and creation of the best conditions for Indian enterprises to operate in the area and highly appreciated the province's investment attraction work. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam hoped that Yen Bai province would provide support and share the tax difficulties for enterprises, especially Indian enterprises exploiting paving stones and sawn stones.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Vietnam promised to do his best to contribute to the relationship between Indian enterprises and organizations with Yen Bai province. First of all, he will promote the implementation of socio-economic development projects in some localities in the province that the two sides have signed; provide scholarships for Vietnamese students, including students from Yen Bai province, to study courses in economics, finance, medicine, etc.

At the same time, it is proposed that Yen Bai province and enterprises in the province, through various cooperation channels, will work with Indian enterprises to implement cooperation in the fields of trade and investment promotion, creating conditions for the Indian Film Week to be successfully organized in Vietnam, including Yen Bai province, as well as for many Yen Bai students to receive scholarships to study in India.

It is known that Yen Bai province has 4 foreign direct investment projects of Indian investors that have been granted investment policy approval decisions and investment registration certificates and are currently operating with a total registered investment capital of 30.2 million USD, equivalent to about 641 billion VND.

India is a large country with a large population, diverse consumer needs, and a large consumer market for products such as textiles, wood and wood products, vegetables, plastic products, spices such as cinnamon, star anise, etc. Currently, in the province, there are a number of enterprises exporting to the Indian market, including: YBB Calcium Carbonate Joint Venture Company (stone powder); An Tien Industries Joint Stock Company, Filer Masterbatch Joint Stock Company (plastic additives); Thanh Son Mining Company Limited, RK International Marble Company Limited (white marble), Daeseung Global Company Limited (garment products), VINA KNF International Company Limited (garment products); Vietnam Polymer Industries Company Limited (packaging), etc.

In 2023, the export value to the Indian market will be about 38 million USD (accounting for 11% of the province's export value); in 2024, it will reach 50 million USD (accounting for 12% of the province's total export value).
