Accordingly, Thanh Xuan District Party Secretary Bui Huyen Mai visited veteran Duong Niet, born in 1934, from Quynh Phu district (Thai Binh province), enlisted in 1953. He was a soldier of Binh Ca Battalion, the pioneer unit to take over the capital in 1954.
Before retiring in 1991, he held the rank of Colonel - Vice Principal of the Air Force High School, now the Air Defense - Air Force Academy. Currently, veteran Duong Niet's family is living at Lane 20 Nguyen Viet Xuan, Khuong Mai Ward.
At the same time, the delegation visited veteran Le Van Tinh (born in 1935), a soldier of Company 283, Regiment 102, Division 308. This was the main division that advanced to liberate the capital in 1954. He attended the flag-raising ceremony in Hanoi. Later, he was a doctor in charge of military medicine E98 - F316. Currently, veteran Le Van Tinh's family is living on Nguyen Ngoc Nai Street, Khuong Mai Ward.
At the families, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, Thanh Xuan District Party Secretary Bui Huyen Mai expressed deep gratitude for the great contributions to the revolution as well as in the process of building and developing the capital of the soldiers who directly participated in liberating the capital.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital, Thanh Xuan District Party Secretary Bui Huyen Mai wished the veterans and their families good health, always following the development of the Capital and the country; actively participating in movements, contributing to building a prosperous locality.
