On May 28, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh had a meeting and worked with Mr. John Williams - Vice President of Southeast Asia - BBC Studios Global Media and Online Company (under the BBC Media Group) regarding the proposed plan to produce the program The Travel Show Special Vietnam to promote Vietnam tourism on BBC.
According to Mr. John Williams, the travel program The Travel Show on BBC TV is attracting a large audience worldwide.

The Travel Show will take viewers on an adventure journey of discovery, experience with real characters, and create memories together. In particular, the participants of the BBC program have many diverse experiences and starting points, affirming the BBC's criteria for travel for everyone, thereby conveying a positive message, inspiring travel, discovering the people and culture of the country.
This project, proposed by BBC, is called The Travel Show Special Vietnam, consisting of 2 episodes, each 23 minutes long, scheduled to air in October 2024. The goal of The Travel Show Special Vietnam is to promote the image of a beautiful, attractive destination, friendly people, long history and rich culture of Vietnam. Mr. John Williams said that this is a great opportunity for BBC and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to cooperate in promoting and spreading the image of Vietnam tourism around the world.
Director Nguyen Trung Khanh highly appreciated BBC TV's idea and affirmed his readiness to support the film crew in carrying out this special project and will assign the Department's affiliated units to coordinate during the implementation process.
Previously, Vietnam tourism has promoted its destinations many times on different BBC channels.
