This afternoon, June 6, under the direction of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly met to consider and decide on personnel work under its authority, including the positions of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Public Security.

Accordingly, the National Assembly conducted a secret ballot to elect Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee, as Vice President of the National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term by electronic voting. The result: 467 delegates participated in the vote (equal to 95.89% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), of which 465 delegates approved (equal to 95.48% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), 1 delegate did not approve (equal to 0.21% of the total number of National Assembly delegates); 1 delegate did not vote (equal to 0.21% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).
The National Assembly also approved the appointment of Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term.
With the position of Minister of Public Security, the vast majority of National Assembly deputies present voted to approve Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security to hold the position of Minister of Public Security, term 2021 - 2026.
Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, 57 years old, is from Yen Nhan commune, Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province. She has a master's degree in Business Administration and a bachelor's degree in Law; a member of the Party Central Committee for the 11th (provisional), 12th, and 13th terms; and a National Assembly delegate for the 13th, 14th, and 15th terms.
