On the afternoon of May 10, information from the Border Guard of Ha Tinh province said that they had presided over and coordinated with Ha Tinh Customs to successfully destroy project A424.2p, catching red-handed two Lao nationals transporting about 70kg of various drugs from Laos to Vietnam.

According to initial information, at 9:00 a.m. on May 9, at the entry area of ​​Cau Treo International Border Gate (Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province), the Border Guard force of Ha Tinh province presided over and coordinated with Ha Tinh province Customs to arrest two subjects including: Xeng and Sisavanh YongYaerlor (both born in 1988, residing in Cam Cot district, Bolikhamxay province, Laos) illegally transporting about 70kg of various drugs including: 30 heroin cakes, 18kg of ecstasy, 21kg of ketamine, 20kg of synthetic drugs in the form of crystal meth from Laos to Vietnam, on a car with a Lao license plate.

Through initial investigation, the two subjects confessed that they had been hired to transport the above drugs from Cam Cot district (Bolikhamxay province, Laos) to Vietnam for a fee of 28,000 USD.

Currently, the Border Guard of Ha Tinh province is coordinating with functional forces to expand the investigation, prosecute the case, and handle it according to the provisions of law.
