(Dan Tri) - Thai media commented that the ticket price for the first leg of the AFF Cup 2024 final at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) at 8:00 p.m. on January 2 is too high, nearly double the ticket price for the semi-final matches.
Thailand's Siam Sport newspaper wrote: "Ticket prices for the final match between Vietnam and Thailand at Viet Tri Stadium have risen to millions of dong."
"The announced ticket prices are VND500,000/ticket, VND700,000/ticket and VND1 million/ticket. Each person can only buy two tickets and must present their ID card for confirmation," Siam Sport added.

According to Thailand's leading sports daily, these prices are not cheap, compared to ticket prices for the second leg of the semi-final between Vietnam and Singapore on December 29, 2024.
Siam Sport newspaper reported: "Tickets to watch the semi-final match at Viet Tri Stadium are priced at VND300,000/ticket, VND500,000/ticket and VND600,000/ticket respectively. Tickets to watch the final match are almost twice as high as tickets to watch the semi-final match."
"It is estimated that Viet Tri Stadium has a capacity of 20,000 seats. However, the Organizing Committee (OC) of the match only sold about 17,000 tickets. The remaining tickets are for sponsors and partners of the BTC of the match", are still the lines written in Thailand's leading sports daily.

Meanwhile, tickets to watch matches taking place at Rajamangala Stadium in Thailand have prices ranging from 14.69 USD (about 373,000 VND), the lowest ticket price is 5.87 USD (about 149,000 VND).
Although the ticket price for the AFF Cup 2024 in Thailand is cheaper than the ticket price at Viet Tri Stadium, Viet Tri Stadium has always been "hot" with tickets since the beginning of the tournament. On the contrary, Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok has never been full of spectators since the beginning of the AFF Cup 2024 until now.
The match that attracted the most spectators at Rajamangala Stadium since the beginning of the tournament was the second leg of the semi-final against the Philippines on the evening of December 30, 2024. At that time, there were nearly 32,000 spectators attending the match, while the capacity of Rajamangala Stadium is more than 51,500 spectators.
The first leg of the 2024 AFF Cup final at Viet Tri Stadium will begin at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Then, on January 5, the two teams Vietnam and Thailand will meet again in the second leg at Rajamangala Stadium.
