Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department and Comrade Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the First Prize to the authors.
Some topics that received the attention of many authors were policies and major issues on cultural revival, national cultural development, and arousing the noble and sacred values of the Vietnamese people; commemorating the 80th anniversary of the birth of the Vietnamese Cultural Outline; policies in state work on heritage; issues on preserving, conserving and promoting national cultural heritages and regional cultural heritages.
Information on role models in high-performance sports, mass sports, and sports for the disabled; policies to restore and develop tourism in localities after the COVID-19 pandemic; criticism of bad habits, analysis of the negative side of social networks in issues of culture, family and behavior; pointing out difficulties, obstacles, and inadequacies in all aspects of culture, sports, tourism, and family work, thereby proposing innovative solutions to improve the effectiveness of state management, calling on the whole society to join hands to solve them.
The National Press Award “For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism” also introduces and promotes the results and achievements of culture, sports, tourism and family work. At the same time, it discovers advanced models in the industry; encourages and motivates cadres of the whole industry to join hands and continue to contribute more to the cause of developing culture, sports and tourism.

According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy, Head of the Organizing Committee of the first National Press Award "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism": After one year of launching, there were 1,084 works from 156 central and local press agencies participating, which proves that the National Press Award "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism" although organized for the first time, has attracted the attention of journalists, reporters and press agencies.
It is worth noting that, along with 94 works by authors, groups of authors and 3 collectives honored at today's Award Ceremony, the works participating in the Award were carefully and seriously prepared, reflecting truthfully and comprehensively, conveying many profound and meaningful messages, contributing to affirming the outstanding marks and results of the first half of the term of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
Although the results may not satisfy all of us, there are still things that need to be continued and tried harder from the organizing agency and the organizations and individuals participating in the Award. What the entire Culture, Sports and Tourism sector has strived to overcome difficulties with the responsible support of press agencies and journalists has achieved has once again affirmed that the fields of culture, sports and tourism are of great interest to the leaders of the Party, State, all levels and sectors and have achieved many achievements and positive changes.

The outstanding achievements of the industry in the past half term are thanks to the close attention and direction of the Party and State leaders; central ministries and branches; the unceasing efforts of the staff working in culture, sports and tourism nationwide; the effective support from press agencies; the enthusiastic and responsible coordination and companionship of reporters and editors.
Perfecting institutions, policies and resources for cultural development
Launching the second National Press Award "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism" in 2023, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy said: To continue to spread the achievements of the industry, recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of collectives and individuals to the cause of developing culture, sports and tourism, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with the Vietnam Journalists Association and relevant agencies to organize the second National Press Award "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism" in 2023.

Promoting the results achieved in the first season, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes that news agencies, newspapers, reporters and editors will pay attention to, organize production and publication of press works focusing on some key contents such as: The implementation of the Party's Resolution, the Conclusion of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong into life; the movement of the cultural sector following the direction of the General Secretary in the congratulatory letter on the occasion of the Conference to commend typical advanced models in the national cultural field in 2023.
Reflecting the work of building and perfecting institutions, policies and resources for cultural development; gradually concretizing the role of culture as a "regulatory system" in the movement of all aspects of life.
Approaching and exploiting cultural values in the spirit of "Culture is the result of economy and at the same time the driving force of economic development"; Building a grassroots cultural environment; defining the position and strengths of Vietnam tourism in the new period on the basis of preserving and promoting the value of natural resources, historical and cultural resources; developing cultural industry, resource policies and solutions for physical education and sports development.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, awarded certificates of merit to three press agencies that won the Collective Award at the first "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism" press award.
At the same time, we hope that the press will also point out difficulties, obstacles, and shortcomings, thereby proposing innovative solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of consulting work, state management, and organizing activities to develop cultural, sports, and tourism careers...
In addition to the successes achieved in the first season, the Organizing Committee seriously received the comments of the Preliminary Council, the Final Council as well as press agencies and journalists, promptly revised and issued the Regulations of the National Press Award "For the cause of developing Culture, Sports and Tourism" for the second time in 2023.
At the Award Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 97 prizes, including 3 Collective Prizes to 3 press agencies with many works participating in the award, achieving high results and 94 individual prizes to authors and groups of authors (including 4 First prizes, 15 Second prizes, 25 Third prizes and 50 Encouragement prizes).
