(NLDO) - On the evening of December 10, the 2nd National Press Awards Ceremony on Agriculture, Farmers, and Rural Areas of Vietnam in 2024 was held in Hanoi.
The 2nd National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers, and Rural Areas of Vietnam in 2024 is chaired by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department and the Vietnam Journalists' Association; Nong Thon Ngay Nay/Dan Viet Newspaper is assigned to coordinate with the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam - Agribank to directly organize the implementation.
Mr. Luong Quoc Doan, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, and Mr. Mai Van Chinh, Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, presented the A prizes to the winning works.
Accordingly, the Organizing Committee honored 42 works that won the second national journalism award on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas of Vietnam in 2024.
The new point of this year's award compared to the first year is that in addition to organizing the reception of entries for printed and electronic newspapers, it also expanded the television and radio categories to all newspapers, stations, and magazines.
According to the Organizing Committee, among the authors who submitted articles, this year's National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas was honored to receive articles from two very special authors, namely author "Xich Lo", namely Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, with a series of articles "Shaking hands with farmers" published on Dan Viet Electronic Newspaper; that is a series of 8 articles by agricultural expert Nguyen Lan Hung with the title "Finding a thousand and one ways for farmers to get rich" with a lot of useful information for farmers.
In particular, there have been many excellent works focusing on writing and reflecting on the model of the new, civilized, and modern farmer.
Mr. Luong Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, commented: "The participation of both professional and non-professional authors has demonstrated the appeal and influence of the Journalism Award specializing in the fields of agriculture, farmers and rural areas in our country.
Each press work is truly a valuable source of information for state management agencies to refer to in building mechanisms and policies; a timely source of encouragement and support for farmers in developing agricultural economy, building new rural areas, and further promoting their central and subject role."
