Kinhtedothi - On the evening of March 5, the Hanoi Labor Federation held a conference to honor typical examples in the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" in 2024; a special art program to honor outstanding female cadres and union members of the Capital's Trade Union in 2025.

Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation Pham Quang Thanh reviewed the schedule of International Women's Day March 8; the origin and significance of the "Three Responsibilities" movement, and emphasized: with more than 400,000 female union members and workers (accounting for 57% of the total number of union members) present in all areas of work, from participating in management work, to expertise and direct production; from family to work... Promoting the fighting spirit of working women around the world, the spirit of Hai Ba Trung, the spirit of "Three Responsibilities", continuing the tradition of Vietnamese women nurtured through many generations, female workers and civil servants in the capital have constantly promoted their capacity and creativity in all areas of social life, actively contributing to the overall development of the capital and the country.
In that proud and glorious journey, the Trade Union is always present, sharing the responsibility and making efforts to build the team of female workers and civil servants in the Capital into a high-quality human resource, comprehensively developing in terms of intelligence, physical strength and spirit, training and striving to become female workers and civil servants who are "good at public affairs and good at housework".
According to Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Confederation Pham Quang Thanh, the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" is a gender-specific movement launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor since 1989 to encourage and motivate female union members and workers to actively participate in social work, especially in professional work, while building happy, equal and progressive families.
In 2024, the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at home" continued to be deployed and widely implemented by the Capital Trade Union at all levels among female union members and workers, achieving many results, contributing significantly to the achievements of the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers and the activities of the Hanoi City Trade Union.
Trade Unions at all levels have launched the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at home work" in conjunction with emulation movements launched by the Central and the city. Specifying the content and emulation criteria in accordance with the characteristics of the situation and requirements of each unit's tasks, attracting a large number of female union members and workers to participate.
In 2024, Hanoi Trade Union has nearly 372,000 female union members and workers registered to implement and achieve the title "Good at public work, good at housework"; 29,672 female union members and workers and 5,581 collectives were commended in the "Two good" emulation movement; 36,946 families of exemplary workers and civil servants were commended; 50,925 children of workers and civil servants with high achievements in the 2023-2024 school year were commended and rewarded.
At the conference, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor commended and rewarded 4 collectives and 4 individuals; the Hanoi City Confederation of Labor commended and rewarded 4 collectives and 5 individuals. Trade Unions at all levels commended and rewarded 5,581 collectives and 29,672 individuals.
At the same time, the City Labor Federation also granted subsidies to 1,000 female union members in difficult circumstances with a total amount of over 2 billion VND.
After the commendation ceremony, a special art program was organized to practically care for the spiritual life, as a gratitude of the City Labor Federation for the contributions, responsibilities, and enthusiasm of the Union cadres at all levels; to encourage female cadres and union members to excel in work, labor, production and Union activities. Thereby, creating motivation for female cadres and union members of the Hanoi Capital Labor Union to continue to compete in labor production, participate in contributing and dedicating better to socio-economic development, building a Cultural - Civilized - Modern Capital, building an increasingly civilized and beautiful country.
