Ensure that civil servants, public employees and workers are fully paid their salaries and Tet bonuses

(NLDO) - The Prime Minister has just signed and issued a Directive on strengthening measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical Lunar New Year 2025.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to closely monitor the market situation, proactively direct localities to have plans to prepare supplies of essential goods and goods with high consumer demand, ensuring quality, fully and promptly meeting people's needs, and not allowing shortages or interruptions in goods sources to cause unreasonable price increases.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade directed the Vietnam Electricity Group to coordinate with units to prepare a plan to safely operate the power system, ensuring electricity supply for production and people's daily life.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance to closely monitor price and market developments, especially essential consumer goods and services and items subject to price stabilization, promptly direct and take measures to strictly handle violations of price laws within its authority.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to focus on reviewing and grasping the living conditions of policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances. Organize visits and give gifts to the right beneficiaries, in accordance with the regime, publicly and transparently, avoid duplication and overlap, not to take advantage of or profit from policies, ensuring that all policy beneficiaries receive gifts before Tet.

Strengthen inspection and implementation of measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene, ensure that civil servants, public employees and workers are paid full salaries and bonuses and arranged Tet holidays according to regulations.

The Ministry of Transport shall preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to strengthen the regulation and strict management of transportation activities to serve people's travel needs during the Lunar New Year, to prevent people from returning home late for Tet due to lack of means of transport; and to strengthen inspection of the implementation of declaration and posting of transportation fares and train ticket prices.

The Ministry of Public Security shall preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to organize attacks and suppress crimes before, during and after the Lunar New Year, focusing on fighting and destroying criminal networks and gangs, especially crimes of theft, fraud and appropriation of property, crimes using firearms, committing particularly serious crimes, crimes related to "black credit", crimes of smuggling, trade fraud, production of counterfeit goods, crimes in the fields of finance, banking, high-tech crimes, drug crimes; detect and strictly handle all kinds of social evils.

The Ministry of Public Security proactively fights and prevents the illegal use of fireworks during Tet.

The State Bank has well organized the work of regulating and supplying cash, meeting the cash needs of the economy in terms of both value and denomination structure.

Along with that, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to strengthen propaganda and dissemination to cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to strictly implement regulations on public service culture, discipline, administrative discipline, practice thrift, fight waste and prevent corruption.

The Prime Minister also requested to strengthen state management of beliefs and religions; not to allow superstitious activities or spiritual profiteering at religious establishments; not to allow subjects to take advantage of, propagate, incite large gatherings, causing complications in security and order.
