The report is based on a survey of more than 3,400 candidates and 500 multinational enterprises in Vietnam, providing in-depth analysis of recruitment trends, necessary skills and advice from human resources experts for workers, including new graduates, and businesses.
Business - sales recruiting the most

New graduates need to improve their skills, especially in AI-related fields.
Specifically, businesses continue to prioritize recruiting personnel with 1 to 3 years of experience (55.47%) and 3 to 5 years of experience (27.36%). The most recruited positions are in the fields of business/sales (59.43%), production (33.02%) and customer service (24.34%).
In terms of skills, businesses highly value problem-solving ability (73.06%) and effective communication (63%), along with foreign language skills, analytical thinking and flexible adaptation.
The report highlights the explosion of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the job search process and the trend of flexible working. AI is increasingly being used by candidates to optimize their CVs, search for jobs, look up company information, practice interviews and develop skills.
However, only 18.45% of candidates have used or are using AI in their job search, while 81.55% have not yet accessed this technology. Among popular AI tools, ChatGPT leads with 66.54% of users, followed by Gemini (15.53%) and Copilot (7.21%).

New jobs will appear in Vietnam
According to the report, Vietnam is entering a period of strong development with the explosion of the digital economy and digital transformation, creating many new job opportunities in fields such as information technology, banking and finance, manufacturing and logistics.
Demand for human resources in some industries is increasing but still facing a shortage of high-quality workers. In particular, positions such as data scientist, AI researcher, machine learning engineer and data researcher are becoming more important than ever.
In addition, the logistics industry in Vietnam is also lacking human resources, especially in the maritime and warehousing sectors, while the semiconductor industry is growing strongly thanks to policies to attract investment and train high-quality human resources.
Need to improve skills
Navigos Group leaders believe that in order to be well prepared when the market economy stabilizes and develops again, as well as to meet new-age recruitment requirements, workers need to improve their skills, especially in areas related to AI, data and digital technology.
In addition, it is necessary to focus on foreign languages, in which English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese will be a great advantage when working in multinational companies; adapting to the new working model including the ability to work independently, manage time, and communicate online will be important factors.
