Attending the conference were comrade Duong Duc Huy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; leaders of the Provincial Political School; representatives of departments, branches, specialized offices and divisions; political centers of districts, cities and towns.
At the conference, delegates listened to a summary report on the results of political theory education work in the first quarter of 2024.
Accordingly, in the first quarter of 2024, political theory education in the province will receive attention and direction from Party committees at all levels and will be implemented by sectors, localities and units to ensure the quality and content of the program according to the guidance of the Central Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the higher-level vertical sectors. Thereby, it will contribute significantly to raising political awareness, enlightening revolutionary ideals, creating unity of will and action of cadres, party members, union members, association members and people to successfully implement the resolutions of party congresses at all levels.
District, city and town political centers have opened 40 classes with more than 3,000 students. Of which, 1 elementary political theory class was trained for 23 students; in coordination with the Provincial Political School, 8 intermediate political theory classes were opened and maintained for 454 students; 6 training classes for party admission candidates, 7 training classes for new party members, 2 training classes for mass organization work, 5 training classes for specialized programs, 2 training classes for propaganda skills, 7 training classes for updating knowledge; 1 class for researching and implementing resolutions, etc.
The Standing Committees of Party Committees at all levels have paid attention to directing and creating favorable conditions for political theory education. District-level political centers have proactively and actively advised Party Committees and authorities on training and fostering work; effectively coordinated with relevant agencies and units in opening classes and recruiting students; promptly encouraged the staff and lecturers of the centers to strive to overcome difficulties and complete their tasks.
Besides, there are still some shortcomings in political theory education, such as: the quality of the teaching staff is not uniform; the teaching quality of some part-time lecturers is not high; organizing for students and lecturers to exchange, learn experiences and research, and grasp the actual situation at the grassroots level still has many difficulties.
In the second quarter of 2024, political theory education will focus on a number of contents: Continuing to carry out professional activities well, mastering the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and new resolutions and policies. Focusing on training and fostering a team of cadres and lecturers to improve their professional qualifications and skills, organizing and participating in the district-level competition for excellent political theory lecturers...
At the conference, delegates focused on exchanging experiences in training and fostering between political centers, such as: Consulting on building training and fostering plans and organizing student recruitment; implementing plans in conjunction with arranging training and fostering funding; innovating teaching and learning methods linking theory with practice. At the same time, delegates also discussed and reflected on difficulties and obstacles in the operation of political centers in districts, towns, and cities...
Speaking at the conference, comrade Duong Duc Huy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, emphasized: To continue to effectively implement political theory education in the area in the second quarter of 2024, it is necessary to further promote the role of Party committees and authorities in political theory education; pay attention to perfecting the teaching staff to ensure quantity and quality.
The Provincial Political School pays attention to and provides professional guidance to district-level political centers. The Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee, Town Party Committee, and City Party Committee coordinates with relevant agencies to implement training and development work to ensure the plan.
