Signing of the program of coordination in propaganda of sea and islands in 2025

Today, February 21, in Hue City, the Hue City Party Committee's Propaganda Department coordinated with the Navy Region 3 Command, chaired by Mr. Hoang Khanh Hung, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Hue City Party Committee's Propaganda Department, and Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Navy Region 3, to organize a conference to review the coordination of propaganda work on seas and islands in 2024 between Navy Region 3 and the Hue City Party Committee's Propaganda Department. The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Departments of the provinces and cities: Da Nang, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh signed and deployed the plan for 2025.

In 2024, Naval Region 3 and the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees have comprehensively deployed the contents according to the proposed coordination plan; implemented propaganda content on seas and islands in many new, flexible and creative forms and ways; closely combined propaganda forms with practical activities, kept up with developments in the situation, promptly oriented awareness and action for officers, soldiers and people.

Propaganda work was deployed promptly, effectively, in accordance with the viewpoints and guidelines of the Party and State, especially oral propaganda activities, on mass media, competitions, exhibitions, and movements towards the homeland's sea and islands, thereby contributing to raising awareness, responsibility, building trust, affection, and interest of all classes of people in the task of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Naval Region 3 has closely coordinated with localities to organize delegations of reporters to directly propagate the sea and islands with 62 sessions for more than 31,000 cadres and people; to propagate and attract human resources at 20 schools for more than 20,000 teachers, pupils and students.

Coordinate the dissemination of laws and Prime Minister's Directive 45 to fishermen on fishing boats at ports and at sea for 146 boats with more than 3,000 fishermen.

The process of propagating the sea and islands combined with giving 600 national flags, distributing 300 sets of documents, 1,000 leaflets, 600 life jackets and life buoys, and many other essential materials to local fishermen.

Along with oral propaganda, during the year, Naval Region 3 coordinated with news agencies and newspapers and organized more than 300 reporters from 42 central and local press agencies to work at the unit; organized the publication of more than 1,200 news articles and reports reflecting the activities of the region on mass media. The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Departments of provinces and cities directed the opening of specialized pages and columns on the sea and islands to promote propaganda among cadres and people.

Naval Region 3 has effectively coordinated competitions to learn about the law and about the sea, islands, and traditions of the Army with more than 10,000 participants. Organized and welcomed 7 delegations of provinces, cities, agencies, organizations, businesses, and press agencies to visit and encourage the people and soldiers on Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province, DKI platform and 2 island districts of Con Co, Ly Son and the forces performing tasks at sea on the occasion of the spring of At Ty 2025 with many gifts from the Ministry of National Defense, the Navy, and localities, agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals inside and outside the Army.

With affection and responsibility, Region 3 has effectively implemented the activity "Navy adopts fishermen's children" in the coastal provinces and cities of the Central region. In 2024, the Region announced the decision to adopt one more child of a fisherman in Quang Tri province. Up to now, Navy Region 3 has adopted 11 children of fishermen in difficult circumstances, supporting their families with an amount of 182,000,000 VND. The practical and humane actions of the soldiers of Region 3 have contributed to sharing the difficulties of the families and becoming a companion and trusted friend of the fishermen.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and exchanging experiences in propaganda work on seas and islands and approved the contents and directions for coordinating propaganda tasks on seas and islands in 2025. At the same time, they emphasized that Naval Region 3 closely coordinates with provinces and cities to focus on innovating forms, constantly expanding the target and scope of propaganda; continuing to bring the coordination of propaganda work on seas and islands; propaganda to attract human resources into depth, have widespread power, and bring practical results.

At the conference, the Navy awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in coordinating propaganda activities on seas and islands in 2024. Navy Region 3 and the Hue City Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Departments of provincial and municipal Party Committees organized the signing of a program to coordinate propaganda on seas and islands in 2025.
