Meanwhile, the price of SJC gold bars traded at DOJI in Hanoi at the end of the session on January 27 was listed at 73.9 million VND per tael for buying and 76.65 million VND per tael for selling.

The international spot gold price on the Kitco floor ended last week at $2,018.8 an ounce. The gold price for April 2024 delivery on the Comex floor in New York was $2,036.1 an ounce.

The central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the US dollar announced by the State Bank on January 26 was 24,036 VND/USD, up 5 VND compared to the previous session. The USD price at commercial banks on January 28 was listed around 24,395-24,765 VND/USD (buy - sell).

The world USD price tends to decrease slightly. The DXY index - measuring the strength of the USD compared to 6 major currencies - closed last week at 103.47 points, down 0.1% compared to the previous session.

Today, January 29, the price of gasoline and oil on the international market is forecast to continue to increase following the strong increase of last week. Last week, the world oil price increased by more than 6%, reaching the highest level in nearly 2 months. This is also the second consecutive week of oil price increase since the beginning of the year.

In the domestic market, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today, January 29, are applied according to the prices at the management session on the afternoon of January 25 of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade.

Accordingly, gasoline prices were adjusted up. Of which, RON 95 gasoline price increased beyond 23,000 VND per liter.

Specifically, the price of E5 gasoline increased to 22,170 VND per liter. The price of RON95 gasoline was raised to 23,400 VND per liter.
Diesel price increased to 20,370 VND per liter. Kerosene price increased to 20,540 VND per liter.
