The price of SJC 4-digit 9 gold bars was listed in Hanoi at VND73.7 million per tael for buying and VND76.72 million per tael for selling.
Meanwhile, the price of SJC gold bars traded at DOJI in Hanoi at the end of the session on January 20 was listed at 73.65 million VND per tael for buying and 76.65 million VND per tael for selling.
The international spot gold price on the Kitco floor closed the week at $2,029 an ounce. The price of gold for February 2024 delivery on the Comex floor in New York was $2,048.6 an ounce.
Gold price today, January 21, on the world market closed the week down and is considered an opportunity to buy. Meanwhile, domestic gold price remained stable above 76.72 million VND per tael.

The central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the US dollar announced by the State Bank on January 19 was 24,037 VND/USD, down 4 VND compared to the previous session. The USD price at commercial banks on January 20 was listed around 24,345-24,715 VND/USD (buy - sell).
The world USD price tends to go down. The DXY index - measuring the strength of the USD compared to 6 major currencies - ended the week at 103.24 points, down 0.29% compared to the previous session.
International oil prices ended the last trading session of the week slightly down. However, oil prices recorded their second weekly increase since the beginning of the year amid escalating tensions in the Middle East and disruptions to oil production.
In the domestic market, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today, January 21, are applied according to the prices at the management session on the afternoon of January 18 of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade.
Accordingly, gasoline prices were adjusted up. Of which, RON 95 gasoline price increased beyond 22,000 VND per liter.
Specifically, the price of E5 gasoline was raised to 21,410 VND per liter. The price of RON 95 gasoline increased to 22,480 VND per liter.
Diesel price increased to 20,190 VND per liter. Kerosene price increased to 20,530 VND per liter.
