Meanwhile, the price of SJC gold bars traded at DOJI in Hanoi at the end of the session on January 17 was listed at 73.65 million VND per tael for buying and 76.15 million VND per tael for selling.
The international spot gold price on the Kitco floor at 9:32 p.m. on January 17, Vietnam time was at $2,027 per ounce. The gold price for February 2024 delivery on the Comex New York floor was at $2,035 per ounce.
Gold prices today, January 18, on the world market continue to be under pressure due to the strong increase of the USD. In the country, concerns about government intervention have caused both SJC gold bars and gold rings to trend downward.

Gasoline prices today, January 18, on the world market tend to go down following the decline from the previous session.
According to analysts, international oil prices have fallen sharply as the US dollar has risen and China's economic recovery has been slower than expected, despite escalating tensions in the Middle East.
In the domestic market, retail prices of gasoline products this afternoon will be applied according to the new price level.
Leaders of some petroleum companies said that domestic gasoline prices in today's adjustment period are likely to increase following the trend of world gasoline prices on average over the past week.
If the regulatory agency does not spend the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund, domestic gasoline prices could increase from 400 to 530 VND per liter. Oil prices could increase from 210 to 470 VND per liter.
In case the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance spends the Stabilization Fund, the gasoline price may increase less.
