The book series "Vo Nguyen Giap - The People's General" published by the Truth National Political Publishing House in Vietnamese and 5 foreign languages, is an epic about the General who made outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, especially in the Dien Bien Phu Victory "famous in five continents, shaking the world".
On April 20, in Hanoi, the Truth National Political Publishing House organized the introduction of the book series "Vo Nguyen Giap - The People's General" edited by Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the Truth National Political Publishing House. This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
Speaking at the book launch ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam emphasized that the book series "Vo Nguyen Giap - The People's General" published in Vietnamese and bilingual in 5 languages: Vietnamese - English, Vietnamese - French, Vietnamese - Spanish, Vietnamese - Chinese, Vietnamese - Arabic, was launched on this occasion to express love, pride and deep gratitude to those who made the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory, while also contributing to meeting the needs of domestic and foreign readers to learn and research about the life and career of General Vo Nguyen Giap.
This is a valuable publication, a work that has both scientific and historical value and attracts readers through valuable, authentic documents and images, vividly depicting the simple yet noble portrait of the General; recreating and highlighting typical events and important turning points in the General's life and revolutionary career.
Through the memories and recollections of the General, readers can easily see that, in any circumstance, the General always demonstrated the qualities of a staunch communist soldier, maintaining his integrity, offensive ideology, will to be self-reliant and self-reliant, excellently completing all tasks assigned by the Party, State and people; always praising the great contributions and sacrifices of the people, the army, those who directly fought on the battlefield and only considered himself a "drop of water in the ocean", equal to all soldiers.
