After a period of “hibernation”, 2024 - the year of recovery of the country’s economy, is also the year the art industry has made many marks. In that atmosphere, the Thanh Hoa Traditional Arts Theater (THA) has organized many big programs, participated in many festivals, and artists have the opportunity to show their talent and passion.
According to the assessment of People's Artist Han Van Hai, Director of the Theater, 2024 is a successful year, reaping many "sweet fruits". In addition to the political tasks of participating in rehearsing and performing programs serving major festivals of the province and districts; organizing a number of staged art programs, NHNTTT has coordinated with units inside and outside the industry to carry out many art performance programs such as: Excerpt from Cheo "Chau Long det gam" in the Cheo Luu Binh - Duong Le play, excerpt from Tuong "Manh Luong cap ngua" and excerpt from Cai Luong "Liet nu My Co"; coordinated with Lam Son Song and Dance Theater to rehearse and successfully perform a series of weekly Saturday art programs with the theme "Weekend rendezvous" at Hoi An Park, Lam Son Square walking street and major art programs such as: Celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024); 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024); Live TV Bridge to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Southern compatriots regrouping to the North (1954-2024).
In particular, the Cheo play "Tears of Childhood" participating in the first National Stage Arts Festival for Youth and Children in 2024 in Hai Phong won 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals for individuals; the Cai Luong play "Gap lai nguoi da chet" participating in the National Cai Luong Festival in 2024 in Can Tho won 1 Silver Medal for the play, 2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal for individuals. At the same time, the Tuong excerpt "The old man carrying his wife to watch the festival" and the Cai Luong excerpt "The jailer's father and son" were successfully restored; the Cheo excerpts "The scholar teaches" and "Xa Truong - Me Dop" were performed on many stages, attracting many viewers.
Welcoming the new spring of At Ty 2025, looking forward to a year with many major events of the country and the province, NHNTTT has specific plans. In addition to propaganda programs serving political tasks, propaganda for anniversaries and major holidays, NHNTTT has started to select Tuong and Cheo scripts to stage, practice and participate in the National Tuong and Cheo Festival in 2025 according to the announcement of the Department of Performing Arts; selecting scripts on the theme of the People's Public Security to stage and participate in the National Professional Stage Arts Festival on "The Image of the Police Soldier" for the 5th time - 2025. At the same time, restore outstanding old programs, excerpts, and plays to perform for the people to raise awareness of the young generation about the traditional art of the nation; At the same time, contributing to the implementation of Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the 11th Central Executive Committee on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development".
